Vietnam Pro Wrestling Announces Three More Matches for Ultimate Collision
This week VPW announced two more top tier matches for their mid-year spectacular, Ultimate Collision. This included a tumultuous match between former foes and recent allies as well as a star studded international tag team collision.
Vortex Rebellion Imploding? - KPY to Face Xumin Long in a high stakes encounter.
This week KPY tried to deliver a message of what could be called angry respect to Sid Nguyen for a hard fought battle at Saigon Slam. However during a moment of self-reflection the young wrestler was interrupted by his Vortex Rebellion compatriots.
Led by the cocky Kira, KPY was mocked for his losing ways and sudden sensitivity. After ridiculing KPY, Kira gave him an all or nothing ultimatum that he will face VPW Tag Team Champion Xiumin Long at Ultimate Collision.
The stakes in the match are high. Whoever wins the match keeps the VPW Tag Team Championship worn currently by Xumin Long while the loser will leave Vortex Rebellion and have to go it alone.
Regardless of who wins this match, Vortex Rebellion will change forever with someone having to forge a new path as a solo star.
The Classic Night Vs The Juicy Boyz
After their monumental win at Saigon Slam against New Japan tag team aces The Natural Classics, Billy and Bobby have been on a non stop bender around Saigon. Rumor has it they’ve closed down every board game cafe at least twice and a certain well known boba franchise has refused to keep stamping their loyalty card due to losses.
We hope they know when to stop this endless party and get down to business however as Malaysia’s biggest tag team are coming for them. The last time we saw Miles Karu and Wonderboy in VPW they were on the losing end of a competitive match against the team The Classic Night beat at the last show (The Natural Classics). As Singapore Tag Team Champions, Karu and Wonderboy have taken on some embarrassment for being unable to topple the Tome brothers when a much less experienced team managed to. While the Juicy Boyz responded that they softened up the Aussies for the Saigon Slam match, some online commenters such as “BigJackinSingapore” and “Cheeseburgerlover” suggested the two can’t win a match outside Malaysia unless they cheat. It certainly doesn’t help that neither Karu or Wonderboy have ever won a match in Vietnam!
With these comments becoming public, The Juicy Boyz demanded they take on The Classic Night to show the whole of Southeast Asia who is best.
The ultimate clash of styles? Sid Nguyen takes on MYPW's Jack Alexander.
In a late announcement yesterday we found out that one of the most unorthodox wrestlers in Malaysia Jack Alexander will be flying in to take on someone who perhaps doesn't quite see eye to eye with his fun filled philosphohy in Sid Nguyen.
Aleander, known for flashy moves and enjoying his "secret sauce" to give himself a power up during matches is someone with momentum behind him after winning the MYPW Invitational Battle Royal last weekend. Sid has momentum too, 2025 is looking to be a great year for the young veteran as he has won both of his matches in Ho Chi Minh City so far this year.
Being of a more serious disposition, it remains to be seen how Sid will take Jack in the match and of course there's only one way to find out.
Ultimate Collision is already shaping up to be a true grudge match filled event with the already announced Hy Draco Vs Rocky Huynh and British Horror Vs Ares.
Don’t miss your opportunity to see this show live and in person on May 31st from VAIB Studios in Ho Chi Minh City. Tickets are selling fast!
