Vietnam Pro Wrestling: Ultimate Collision - Matches Announced

This week, Vietnam Pro Wrestling has announced two gigantic matches for what is one of their biggest cards of the year, Ultimate Collision, which typically marks the end of the first half of the season for the promotion.

To set context, the week of promos started with British Horror and Rocky Huynh sharing the camera to explain that Rocky has joined with the new VPW Openweight Champion due to the mockery made of him online, despite him being the one to create pro wrestling in Vietnam. Being the butt of memes online by vicious fans was what sent him over the edge and into the new duo of The Rocky Horror Show!

Since this proclamation, two of VPW’s biggest superstars have stepped up to the plate, rather than in a tag team contest, as two enormous singles matches.

Ares Challenges British Horror

Phuong Nam and Ares took to social media to respond to British Horror. While they congratulated him on being the first foreigner to hold the VPW title (in their own special way), they reminded him of Ares' dominance against foreigners, and it’s time Horror tried to pick on someone not just his own size but far bigger than him to see what happens.

The main event is set for Ultimate Collision, a match that immediately has huge consequences for VPW regardless of the outcome. Should Ares win, he can derail the momentum of The Rocky Horror Show and bring balance back to VPW. However, should British Horror take the win, then this gives great power to him and Rocky Huynh, as he will be the first foreigner to pin the Unstoppable Force and only the third person to defeat him at all.

Hy Draco targets Rocky Huynh

Following the events of Saigon Slam, now former champion Hy Draco shared his rage at Rocky. The high flyer spat barbs at his former friend over his ease to follow someone who tried to end his career and turn his back on the Vietnamese wrestlers who looked up to him. Hy Draco will get his chance at revenge at Ultimate Collision in a match that is likely to be less about high flying and more about hurting their opponent in any possible way.
