Storm of Change Tournament Shakes Up Thai Origin Pro
May 18, 2568 – Event Recap
The "Storm of Change" tournament lived up to its name this past Sunday, delivering results, internal betrayals, and a controversial main event.
The night kicked off with a clash between KAIJU's high-flyer SILVERBULLET and the unpredictable powerhouse Golem Thai of Bad Company. In a surprising upset, Golem Thai snatched the win with a crafty school boy pin, showing that brains can sometimes beat brawn—and perhaps sending a message to the rest of the locker room that Bad Company’s trickery is alive and well.
Match two continued the chaos as P-Nutz, another member of Bad Company, faced Best Boonpa of the Revolution Squad. Known for his erratic energy and devastating finishers, P-Nutz grounded Boonpa and sealed the deal with a brutal Michinoku Driver, earning the decisive pinfall victory. This marks a strong night for Bad Company, with two major singles wins under their belt.
The third bout featured KAIJU teammates WASSANA and KUMA in a rare inter-faction showdown. This one was personal, and both competitors wrestled like they had something to prove. WASSANA, ever the technician, targeted KUMA’s legs throughout the match, finally forcing her stablemate to tap out to a Figure Four Leg Lock. It was a clean and dominant showing that may shake up the internal hierarchy of KAIJU going forward.
The main event, however, ended in controversy and raised more questions than answers. In a match for the King of Thai Wrestling Title, the flamboyant Prince Benny of Revolution Squad challenged the gritty and respected Jay Yuu, who entered as a free agent and defending champion. What should have been a classic was marred by chaos when Jay Yuu was caught using a fast chair, leading to an automatic disqualification. The result? Prince Benny was awarded the match and the championship by falwa (forfeit), walking out with the crown—but not without debate.
With Bad Company picking up steam, Revolution Squad holding gold, and internal tensions in KAIJU rising, "Storm of Change" has set the stage for a volatile summer in Thai wrestling. Whether these factions can survive the pressure—or implode from within—remains to be seen. One thing's for sure: change is here.
