The LAB Experiment 06 Preview: Full Card, Tickets and What to Expect

THE LAB: EXPERIMENT 06 PREVIEW

New venue. First ticketed event. More matches. More competitors.

The LAB is a professional wrestling competition created by Real Global Threat (RGT), and in a short space of time it has become one of the fastest growing wrestling shows in Thailand. Presented in the form of a laboratory, its defining feature is a mat-based wrestling format.

Experiment 06 goes down on Friday 28 August, and it is the biggest step the promotion has taken so far. Six matches are announced, four of them for championships.

The promotion is going all out on what can be done with multi-man matches and tag team wrestling as it settles into its new venue.

SPECIAL TAG TEAM MATCH Bad Company (P-Nutz & Golem Thai) vs HY/OP (Jake De Leon & Isaiah Valencia)

What to know

We have seen a lot of Bad Company in singles and tag competition across Thailand and Singapore over the past few months, and the veteran duo are on form. This is the first HY/OP tag team match in Thailand, and it is an important piece of framing for SETUP's Under the Same Moon the following night, where De Leon and Valencia head into separate matches.

What we expect

Both teams unloading full, hard hitting offence on each other. This one will not be for the faint of heart.

11-MAN BATTLE ROYAL

Mylson James vs Mc Nexo vs Manuel vs Admin Oak vs Kru Pol vs CK Vin vs Khoa Truong vs Big Good Jack vs Cheeseburger Kid vs Andruew Tang vs ???

What to know

The promotion has stated that wrestlers will enter the match at predetermined intervals, and that victory can be achieved by pinfall or submission. Under this format, wrestlers from the same team may be forced to face each other whether they want to or not.

Several wrestlers are set to make their LAB debut, including CK Vin, a former SPW Singapore Champion.

There is also a mystery entrant. The LAB usually announces its cards in full ahead of time, so this is a rare question mark.

What we expect

Chaos, but a different kind of chaos to the rumbles we have seen before. Expect The LAB to put its own mark on the format.

SETUP ALL ASIA WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP-Fienic Rose vs Monomoth vs Matcha (c)

What to know

The LAB has said it is creating an opportunity for gender equality to be put on full display. A win for either challenger would significantly disrupt plans for the Saturday show.

What we expect

Matcha giving no ground at all to her male opponents. On the evidence so far, she often treats them more brutally than her female challengers.

IWA JAPAN WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP-The Horrors (Dr. Gore & Da Butcherman) vs St. John Innocent College (Kevin Weng & Pondhub) (c)

What to know

This is the first title defence for St. John Innocent College. This is a correction to our Under the Same Moon preview.

The Horrors are one of the most decorated and celebrated tag teams in Southeast Asian wrestling. This is their first match together since November 2024, when they lost the SPW Tag Team Titles to The Juicy Boyz.

What we expect

A classic violent Horrors match, and the sense that one of Southeast Asia's greatest teams has not missed a step.

BALI PRO WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP-Jack Alexander vs Jonathan Johnson vs Aiden Rex vs Emman Azman (c)

What to know

This is the first title defence for Emman Azman since he defeated Ho Ho Lun in Bali last month. It is also the first four way match in The LAB's history.

All four men are well travelled across the region. According to Cagematch records, Aiden Rex has never faced Jack Alexander or Jonathan Johnson, and Johnson has never faced Alexander or Rex.

Johnson and Azman meet again 24 hours later at Under the Same Moon, so this match gives each of them a chance to gain an early advantage.

What we expect

Fast paced, technical, and a genuine show stealer candidate. It should live up to Shivam's description of the card as a quality wrestling show from start to finish.

IWA JAPAN WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP-Carlo Cannon vs Ma$on vs Shivam (c)

What to know

All three men in this match currently hold gold.

Shivam the defending IWA Japan World Champion. Carlo Cannon has won two titles this year, the Varia Ukraine World Championship and the Singapore Pro Wrestling Singapore Championship. He has also held the MYPW World Championship for more than 1,286 days. Ma$on is the current SPW Hardcore Champion and is on a strong run as a singles competitor. Cannon and Shivam meet again in the eight man tag the following night.

What we expect

Another match of the night contender, and possibly a match of the year candidate. The last two meetings between Shivam and Cannon, at MYPW Fightback and in a three way with Jonathan Johnson at SETUP A Hard Day's Night, were both award winning level bouts. There is little reason to think this one will be different.

THE SHOW AS A WHOLE

Like Under the Same Moon, this is a celebration of Southeast Asian wrestling, with talent arriving from the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. The new venue reflects how far the Experiments have come, and the card is stacked with first time meetings and one major return.
