SPW Mayhem 2025 Preview: Full Match Card, Feuds, and Star Power in Singapore

Although Singapore has been kept alive and well with wrestling since SPW presented Clash at the Club two months ago—with three Grapplemax and a Ring of Rebirth show having come and gone—the Statementverse (as we’re going to call storylines that revolve around RGT) has been alive and well in all corners of Southeast Asia, keeping SPW fans in anticipation of their next big event Mayhem, which goes down this Friday, 30th May, from their usual home of the Foo Chow Building in Singapore.

Unfortunately for people on the fence about going, tickets have been sold out for weeks thanks to the huge matches announced and the potential outcomes of some of the hottest feuds in Southeast Asian Pro Wrestling.

Appearing on the card are local icons Andreuw Tang, Alexis Lee, Aiden Rex, Da Butcherman, Mighty Mighty, and more. They’re fixing to clash with some of the best from around Southeast Asia in Emman Azman and Shivam, as well as some pretty well-known people from further afield, including Ho Ho Lun, Yuki Kamifuku, and Zack Sabre Jr.

Let’s run through those nine matches.

Madkat Karina & Emman vs Ray and Selina

Making her first official appearance, Madkat Karina—known for her wild, unpredictable style—will debut in an intergender tag match! She's joining forces with Emman to take on the no-nonsense pairing of Miss Selina and Hustler Ray. Selina will certainly be looking to continue her momentum after defeating SETUP’s Jeney, while her partner Ray is really looking to get himself on track with a few wins.

Will the veteran team crush Karina’s momentum before it even starts? Or will the Reckless—

CK Vin, Bryson Blade, and Kentona vs Dr. Gore, Riky Malek, Boombox Terrance Choong

Riky Malek has had enough. Watching CK Vin, Bryson Blade, and Kentona form their new alliance has pushed the Ultraluminary to the edge—and now he’s striking back. Malek has recruited the twisted brilliance of Dr. Gore and the explosive debutant Boombox Terrance Choong to take the fight directly to the rising faction.

With a dangerous blend of experience, chaos, and fresh firepower on his side, can Riky turn the tide against those who cast him aside? Surely anyone who pins Vin or Blade in this match will be lining themselves up for a future title shot as well.

Black Arrow w/ Mighty vs Mason w/ RJ

In another chapter between these two teams, Mason of The Midnight Bastards attempts to rise to the challenge of beating one half of Might Arrow, the former Southeast Asia Champion, Black Arrow himself.

Their last match ended in controversial fashion when both members of The Midnight Bastards illegally held down Arrow to gain the pinfall. To ensure that fair play occurs, Arrow will be joined at ringside by Mighty Mighty (read the interview in SEA Wrestling Issue 3).

Can this bitter feud come to an end in this heated singles match, or will this just be another chapter?

SPW SEA Tag Team Championship – The Juicy Boyz (c) vs Jack 'N' Cheese

Ever since winning the SPW Southeast Asian Tag Team Championships at MYPW Champion’s Quest 2024 from The Horrors, the Juicy Boyz have changed their attitude. Now, the Juicy Boyz have really become the weenie boys of the Southeast Asian tag team scene.

While they remain beloved heroes in Malaysia, they’ve been nothing but rude, obnoxious, ungrateful tourists when travelling overseas.

Beginning with an intentional DQ at Champions Never Yield 3 against their opponents at Mayhem, the duo have since caused chaotic brawls at Causeway Jam, spoiled several families’ five-star vacations in Ho Tram, Vietnam (one young boy, Oliver, was said to be in tears after Wonderboy kicked over his sandcastle), and more recently, Miles Karu has been making jabs at fans in the Philippines.

Some say Jack 'N' Cheese are the true champions of Southeast Asia already. After winning by disqualification at CNY3, the duo have managed to show their dominance by defeating Shaheen of Wrestlefest DXB and Australian Craven at Unchained, before making short work of the Geylang Syndicate at Ring of Rebirth Experience 5.

This time, SPW matchmakers have seen fit to make it so the title can change hands on a disqualification. Will this be enough to keep Karu and Wonderboy under control?

Zack Sabre Jr vs Aiden Rex

This could be ZSJ’s toughest match of his Southeast Asian tour. The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion contacted SPW management demanding stiff competition for Singapore. He wasn’t satisfied with his Mayhem appearance being a warmup for Thailand the night after—no, he wanted someone who could match him move for move. It looks like SPW delivered.

Aiden Rex is unarguably the best technical wrestler in Southeast Asia. On the mat, in a fair grapple, he is absolutely unbeatable. However, Rex has been on somewhat of a long losing streak against international opponents. Ever since SPW Stronghold in 2023, Rex has lost to every single non-Singapore national he has faced, and the list is long:

  • Emman Azman – MYPW Fightback

  • Shun Skywalker – SPW Crowning Glory

  • Lost in a four-way at CNY 3, including Jake De Leon and Shivam

  • Ares – VPW Spring Bash

  • Dragon Dia – SPW Unchained

  • Sunny Z – VPW Ho Tram Slam'

It’s unlikely that Rex will want to add another name to this list and will probably be hyper-aggressive with the British veteran. However, as someone who has seen many a ZSJ match live, it’s going to take some really fancy footwork from Rex to change this string of bad luck.

Real Global Threat (The Statement & Shivam) vs Ho Ho Lun & “Golden Boy” Emman Azman

Although signed before New Breed 3 a few weeks ago, this match has heated up to a new level following the end of the last MYPW show.

At that event, The Statement and Shivam offered Azman a place in their RGT faction. However, “Golden Boy” lived up to his name on the night by refusing the offer.

It all began in SETUP Thailand Pro Wrestling—the birth of a dangerous alliance now known as Real Global Threat. Once fierce rivals, The Statement and Shivam have buried their past differences, uniting under a shared mission: to dominate the Southeast Asian wrestling scene.

Now, this powerful new duo arrives at SPW Mayhem, facing an exciting first-time pairing—Ho Ho Lun and Emman Azman. It’s a clash of styles: Ho Ho Lun’s technical finesse and martial arts mastery meets Emman’s speed, agility, and aerial offense.

Can this unexpected combo disrupt the momentum of Real Global Threat? Or is Southeast Asia’s future already under their control?

SPW Queen of Asia Championship – Yuki Kamifuku (c) vs Alexis Lee

Where to begin with this one? These girls might be slight of stature, but no feud is as heated in Singapore right now as the blood feud between Kamifuku and Lee. While we don’t know the order of matches, this one deserves to be the main event in SEA Wrestling’s opinion.

The rivalry between these two began over two years ago. In their first encounter at Champions Never Yield, Alexis was able to defeat Kamiyu. However, the duo would have a rematch just a few months later where Lee would lose her Queen of Asia Championship.

Since then, the hardcore, beer-guzzling skelly’s number has been had by the casual beauty. The next stop saw Yuki pin Lee in the main event of VPW’s Saigon Slam to become a double Southeast Asia Women’s Champion as the inaugural VPW Women’s Champion.

A few weeks later, Lee would head over to try and claim both belts in Japan for TJPW, but once again failed in her quest due to the underhanded tactics of her opponent.

Things went quiet for a while after that until Lee was able to work with SPW management to get Kamifuku over for one more shot at the title on her home turf of the Foo Chow Building. However, thanks to the betrayal of her former “brother” Andreuw Tang, Yuki Kamifuku walked away again with the title.

A month later, at Unchained, more underhanded tactics from The Statement’s lackeys meant that Lee and Da Butcherman were defeated once again by Singapore’s hottest “couple” in The Statement & The Casual Beauty. Even as recently as last weekend, Kamiyu was able to beat Lee in China for Middle Kingdom Wrestling in a mixed tag match.

Lee has seen enough. The promising women’s wrestler is now putting it all on the line one final time. Should she fail to take back the SPW Queen of Asia Championship, Lee will retire from wrestling.

Will this be the swansong for one of the first women of Southeast Asian wrestling—or the beginning of a new dominant chapter?

SPW Southeast Asia Championship – Da Butcherman (c) vs Carlo Cannon

At SPW: Unchained, Carlo Cannon made his intentions crystal clear—he wants the crown jewel of Southeast Asian wrestling. Now, he gets his shot as he goes one-on-one with the reigning SPW SEA Champion, Da Butcherman, in what promises to be a brutal, unforgiving collision.

Butcherman has warned fans that the version of himself that lost to The Statement and was blindsided by Aiden Rex will not survive this war. To stop Carlo Cannon, he says he must tap into something far darker… something inhuman. The stakes have never been higher—and the violence, never more certain.

For Cannon, this isn’t just about winning gold—it’s about domination. Having already taken over promotions across the region and capturing the Malaysia Pro Wrestling World Championship, he sees the SPW SEA Title as the next piece of his empire.

SPW Mayhem is looking to be a busy show that highlights the breadth of talent in Singapore through SPW’s own unique brand of chaos. While the curtain might be drawn on some feuds that night, things don’t end there for a lot of the wrestlers involved. One night later, SETUP Thailand hosts Zack Sabre Jr and RGT, while The Juicy Boyz head to Vietnam Pro Wrestling’s Ultimate Collision—but more on those later.
