SPW King’s Landing – SEA Wrestling Preview

King’s Landing could stand as one of Singapore Pro Wrestling’s most significant events in recent memory.

That’s not a claim made lightly, especially considering the last Foo Chow Building show featured names like Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI. Yet, with Minoru Suzuki now headlining, the buzz and ticket movement suggest this may surpass even that.

And it’s not just about Suzuki. The card is stacked with international involvement, with six additional matches bringing together talent from across Southeast Asia and beyond.

SPW HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP – RYAN SHEN (C) VS TOK BOMOH MEKONG VS MJ RIZ VS HUSTLER RAY VS MASON

SPW Hardcore Champion Ryan Shen once again finds himself at the centre of it all, defending against four challengers with a clear target on his back.

Tok Bomoh Mekong enters the match—still alleged to be the alter ego of Sayn RH, something he continues to deny while actively searching for TBM at considerable personal cost. MJ Riz brings a refreshed and energised version of himself, looking to make as big an impact as his namesake once did. Hustler Ray also enters, and after the threats made by his partner, it’s hard to imagine him returning without gold. Finally, Mason looms large—despite his negative outlook, he may have all the physical tools needed to walk out as champion.

Can Shen retain against four of SPW’s most unpredictable personalities?

What to expect: An all-out, weapon-filled and chaotic brawl.

Our Prediction: Mason takes the title, driven by a clear singles trajectory and something to prove.

BRYSON BLADE VS “BOOMBOX” TERRANCE CHOONG

Two of SPW’s most outspoken and confident competitors collide, as Bryson Blade faces “Boombox” Terrance Choong.

Both men thrive on crowd reaction—Blade embracing the boos, while Choong feeds off the energy—but this match is about more than personality. With the Legion of Total Anarchy involved, the stakes are significantly raised.

If Choong wins and CK Vin retains the Singapore Championship later in the night, he earns a title shot. However, if Blade loses, he must leave the Legion. On the other side, a loss for Choong would see him reduced to carrying the group’s bags—a fate arguably worse than defeat itself.

What to expect: A fast-paced, action-heavy match that tests both men and could emerge as a must-see contest in SPW.

Prediction: Bryson Blade sneaks the win through dirty tactics.

ARES (VIETNAM PRO WRESTLING) VS AIDEN REX – SINGLES MATCH

Vietnam Pro Wrestling’s Ares makes his SPW debut against Aiden Rex, in a rematch from VPW Spring Bash where Ares previously picked up the win.

Rex will be looking for revenge on home soil and has already shown he’s willing to bend the rules—and his opponent’s joints—to get there. Meanwhile, Ares, coming off a major test against Carlo Cannon, looks to further establish himself across Southeast Asia.

What to expect: A clear clash of styles—Ares’ strength and explosiveness against Rex’s technical and submission-based approach.

Prediction: A time limit draw, with neither man backing down.

ALEXIS LEE & MAD KAT KARINA VS MISS SELINA & MARIKA KOBASHI – WOMEN’S TAG TEAM MATCH

Alexis Lee teams once again with Mad Kat Karina following their previous success, while Miss Selina partners with Japanese veteran Marika Kobashi to oppose them.

SkellyKat will be looking to build momentum, while Selina hopes Kobashi’s experience gives her the edge. At the same time, Lee’s recent shift in attitude in the Philippines raises questions—will that more aggressive side show itself here, and can Karina still trust her partner?

What to expect: Kobashi blending light-hearted moments with sudden intensity, backed by Selina, while Lee and Karina will need resilience to stay competitive.

Prediction: Kobashi secures the pinfall, likely positioning herself as a number one contender.

SPW SOUTHEAST ASIA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP – JACK ‘N’ CHEESE (C) VS REAL GLOBAL THREAT VS MIGHTY ARROW (TRIPLE THREAT TAG)

Jack ‘N’ Cheese head into King’s Landing with a demanding defence ahead, assuming they come through their Manila commitments.

They face Real Global Threat—represented by Andruew Tang and Emman Azman—and the reunited Mighty Arrow, who last held the titles in 2017. RGT have rotated combinations throughout 2025, consistently proving dangerous, while Mighty Arrow bring established chemistry back into the mix with intrigue in how they will fare against an old foe in Tang.

What to expect: A dramatic triple threat with shifting dynamics between experienced teams.

Prediction: Jack ‘N’ Cheese retain, continuing their strong run with no clear signs of slowing down.

SPW SINGAPORE CHAMPIONSHIP – CK VIN (C) VS DR GORE

One year on from their last title encounter at SPW Unchained, Dr Gore gets another opportunity at CK Vin.

After multiple run-ins with the Legion of Total Anarchy, Gore has fought through the group to reach this point. However, their presence still looms, and could once again play a decisive role.

This is his clearest path yet to a singles title—but also his toughest challenge.

What to expect: Interference threats and underhanded tactics, with a more determined Dr Gore pushing forward.

Prediction: Dr Gore finally overcomes the odds to win his first singles championship.

MAIN EVENT – MINORU SUZUKI VS DA BUTCHERMAN

Minoru Suzuki brings his trademark brutality to SPW, meeting one of the promotion’s most unhinged figures in Da Butcherman.

Both men share a reputation for violence, making this a natural and volatile main event. Suzuki will be looking for a fight worthy of his legacy, while Butcherman has the chance to prove himself against one of wrestling’s most feared veterans. Surely this is the ultimate test if Butcherman is ready to reclaim his Southeast Asian Championship?

What to expect: Unpredictable, hard-hitting chaos with no shortage of intensity.

Prediction: Da Butcherman narrowly secures the win, elevating himself as a top contender in the region.

SPW King’s Landing shapes up as a defining night for Singapore Pro Wrestling, combining international star power with key developments across multiple divisions. From championship stakes to personal rivalries, nearly every match carries meaningful consequences heading into the promotion’s next phase.

With Minoru Suzuki anchoring the main event and several regional talents looking to establish or reinforce their position, this card offers both spectacle and progression.

SPW King’s Landing takes place on 10 April at Foo Chow Building, and based on the lineup alone, it stands as one of the most complete and compelling cards SPW has assembled in recent memory.
