SPW Returns with HEARTLAND HAVOC on August 29 at Foo Chow Building — The Chaos Continues!
Singapore Pro Wrestling celebrates the nation’s birthday month in true SPW fashion — by throwing down in the heart of the city with another night of unforgettable action! On Friday, August 29, the Foo Chow Building will once again shake with the sounds of slams, submissions, and standing ovations as SPW: HEARTLAND HAVOC brings fans another stacked card of homegrown talent, international stars, and explosive storylines reaching their boiling point.
SHIGEHIRO IRIE RETURNS TO SINGAPORE!
Headlining the buzz around Heartland Havoc is the return of Japanese powerhouse Shigehiro Irie, making his first appearance in Singapore since 2019, when he tagged alongside Michael Nakazawa at Klash of Kings in a show-stealing match headlined by Kenny Omega. Fans have waited six long years, and now the cannonballing bulldozer is back — and looking to obliterate whoever stands across from him. Expect a major match announcement soon.
Fallout from MAYHEM — Rivalries Reignited
Mayhem, held on May 30, was a landmark event that left the Foo Chow Building bursting at the seams with excitement — and controversy. Now, Heartland Havoc looks set to pick up the pieces and throw them back into the fire.
Riky Malek’s betrayal of Dr Gore and Terrence Choong shocked the SPW faithful, as he joined forces with CK Vin, Bryson Blade, and Kentona to form a fearsome foursome under the banner of The Legion of Total Anarchy. With the group now fully formed, Heartland Havoc may be the stage for their next step in domination — or retribution from those they wronged.
Real Global Threat (RGT) made a major statement at Mayhem, crushing Emman Azman and Ho Ho Lun. The post-match was even more brutal, as Emman turned on his longtime ally Ho Ho and officially joined RGT. This betrayal not only shook fans but also reshaped Southeast Asia’s power balance. Emman went on to represent RGT at SETUP’s Fallen Kingdom, and now all eyes are on whether this alliance will continue to spread chaos in SPW.
The war between Mighty Arrow and The Midnight Bastards also looks far from over. Mighty Arrow’s ally Black Arrow suffered a controversial loss to Mason (with RJ) thanks to shady tactics. Expect these tensions to flare again in August.
The SPW Southeast Asia Tag Team Titles changed hands at Mayhem in dramatic fashion when Jack ‘N’ Cheese dethroned The Juicy Boyz. The Juicy Boyz, walking out with the Malaysian flag, drew massive heat before the bell even rang — and the crowd exploded when they lost. A rematch or further fallout is almost guaranteed.
Alexis Lee’s victory over Yuki Kamifuku earned her the Queen of Asia Championship, capping off their intense feud. With the belt now back in Singaporean hands, fans eagerly await who the next challenger will be.
Da Butcherman retained the SPW Southeast Asia Championship against Carlo Cannon in a brutal, slow-burning clash that spilled outside the ring and featured everything from powerbombs through tables to devastating suplexes. While some fans felt this should’ve closed the show, it nonetheless reaffirmed Da Butcherman’s dominance in SPW’s main event scene.
In the Mayhem main event, Zack Sabre Jr. made good on his promise to test Singapore’s best, tapping out Aiden Rex in a near 30-minute technical masterclass. Despite the loss, Rex had Sabre on the ropes multiple times and walked away with his reputation enhanced — and the spotlight lingering on him. His next move may be critical to his future in the international scene.
Tickets & International Guests
Heartland Havoc promises to be another sellout event, with stars from Japan and Malaysia already confirmed to appear. SPW has teased that more international guests will be revealed shortly — and with Irie already announced, the bar is sky-high.
Tickets will go on sale soon via SPW’s official channels. Fans are encouraged to act fast — Mayhem sold out well in advance, and with the added buzz of national celebrations and Irie’s return, Heartland Havoc is expected to pack out even quicker.
