BREAKING: SHIVAM STEPS IN FOR INJURED AIDEN REX, WILL FACE LIO RUSH IN SPW OVERDRIVE MAIN EVENT
Singapore Pro Wrestling has confirmed a change to the top of the Overdrive card. Aiden Rex has been ruled out through injury, and SPW management has moved quickly to replace him with Shivam, one of the region's most sought-after free agents, in the main event against "Blackheart" Lio Rush.
Shivam arrives at Overdrive with something to prove. He vacated the IWA Japan World Heavyweight Championship and left SETUP Thailand two weeks ago, closing one chapter of his career just as this new opportunity opened up. Known as the Ace of Thailand Pro Wrestling, he will be looking to make an immediate statement against a name as established as Lio Rush.
REAL GLOBAL THREAT CONFIRM ADDITION TO OVERDRIVE CARD
Singapore Pro Wrestling has also received an official statement from Real Global Threat, the reigning SPW Southeast Asia Champions:
"We, Real Global Threat, as SPW Southeast Asia Champions, have decided to bring the Filipino Fighting Rooster, Jake De Leon, to SPW Overdrive as well. At SPW Overdrive, we will have our full regional regiment on display. All of Singapore Pro Wrestling will know that we are not here to take part, we are here to take over."
It is not yet confirmed, but this points toward Jake De Leon taking Shivam's place in the six-man tag match against Da Butcherman and Jack N' Cheese.
Elsewhere, Shivam had sharp words for Lio Rush in a video posted earlier, while also calling out SPW Southeast Asia Champion Tetsuya Naito, who appears to be next on his list. That follows recent comments aimed at Naito by CHEN in a separate interview, adding another name to the list of challengers circling the champion.
With the Rush-Shivam main event now locked in, demand for Overdrive has picked up fast. Ringside, Premium, Balcony and General seating are already sold out. Executive seats at $65 are the only tickets left, and there are very few of those remaining.
