SETUP Thailand: Real Global Impact Results
With thanks to the loyal SETUP fans and SETUP Thailand themselves for the photos and results.
SETUP Thailand presented their first show of the year, REAL Global Impact, last night from Circus Studio Bangkok. The show had huge ramifications for the 2026 season of SETUP Thailand and upcoming IWA Thailand shows.
Results from the show:
Admin Oak defeated Manuel in a match where the more experienced rookie demonstrated his muscular physique and power-based offence.
‘The Sour Martini’ Dewdy defeated Kappa Kozou with a Scissor Kick, which may mean Kozou has to leave SETUP.
Kru Pol pinned Kevin Weng to settle the score.
After the match, they were joined in the ring by Jeney and Pondhub. Jeney officially decided to join St. John Innocent College. Kru Pol announced that all research funding would be used to help repay Pondhub’s debt, allowing him to return to the school. The group also declared their intention to challenge for the Tag Team Championships.
Jonathan Johnson earned a DEXCON World Championship opportunity by defeating Isaiah Valencia with a Swanton Bomb.
Most information online suggests this match will take place in the Philippines, likely at their May show, however it could instead occur at the next SETUP event.
Naga Nai submitted P’Suchart with the Naga Clutch.
Following the match, Bad Company from TOP Dojo (Golem Thai and P-Nutz) made their SETUP debut, attacking Nai and Terry Diesel to a thunderous ovation. This marked the team’s debut in SETUP, including Golem Thai appearing under this persona for the first time.
Monomoth & Matcha defeated Kaya Toribami & Miyu Yamashita to become the new SETUP IWA Tag Team Champions.
Following the match, Anont Alonzo challenged Monomoth to a SETUP Openweight Championship match at the next show, while Matcha called out Jeney, claiming she does not truly love professional wrestling and has never tried to improve as a women’s wrestler. The vampire wrestler snapped and issued a Women’s Championship challenge for the next event.
In the main event, Shivam wrestled to a 20-minute time limit draw with fellow Real Global Threat member Chris Brookes. Pumy offered the match five more minutes; however, when his back was turned, the duo attacked him and insulted Pumy, the fans, and SETUP before Monomoth ran them off.
The show is expected to be broadcast on YouTube this week, with the next event also set to be confirmed soon.
Rumoured matchups for the next show:
SETUP Openweight Championship: Monomoth (c) vs Anont Alonzo
SETUP Women’s Championship: Matcha (c) vs Jeney
Bad Company vs Naga Nai & Terry Diesel (or Kappa Kozou)
Potential DEXCON World Championship: Jake De Leon (c) vs Jonathan Johnson
