SEA Wrestling Weekly Round-Up

A Huge Week for Women’s Wrestling & Major Regional Updates

This week began quietly, but by the end, the women’s wrestling scene in Southeast Asia had leapt forward in a major way. As we head into the year-end season, the calendar continues to grow with significant match announcements and storyline developments across the region.

Viva Van vs Crystal Set for Vietnam Mania — Plus Possible Third SEA Date

Vietnam Pro Wrestling confirmed that Viva Van will defend the VPW Women’s Championship in the main event of Vietnam Mania, facing none other than one of the region’s trailblazing women’s wrestlers — Crystal.

For anyone unfamiliar or needing a reminder, Crystal’s résumé speaks for itself:

  • 10+ year veteran of the Philippine pro wrestling scene

  • Has wrestled in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, China, Thailand, and Japan

  • Has held both men’s and women’s championships internationally

  • Alongside Alexis Lee, was one of the first women to wrestle in Vietnam

  • Holds competitive wins over top male talent including Jake De Leon and Dr. Gore

There is a poetic symmetry here:
Viva’s SEA tour sees her face the two women who first made women’s wrestling possible in Vietnam – Crystal at Vietnam Mania, and Alexis Lee in Singapore on November 29.

During her appearance on Pep Talks, Viva also hinted at a third Southeast Asia date still to be revealed. Current speculation points to:

  • SETUP Thailand – A Hard Day’s Night, though Matcha is already booked vs Marika Kobashi

  • Alternatively, TJPW in Bangkok, which has yet to announce full match listings

We’ll update as soon as confirmation drops.

Nor “Phoenix” Diana to Defend the APAC Women’s Championship in the USA

Also breaking today — Nor "Phoenix" Diana will defend the APAC Women’s Championship at House of Glory (New Jersey) on December 15, facing Mercedes Moné, the AEW TBS Champion.

This is Phoenix’s biggest challenge to date. Moné has been one of the most protected champions in the world over the last three years. A statement match for both women — and for APAC Wrestling.

PUSO Wrestling Finalises the Almat Card

PUSO Wrestling has locked in the final matches for Almat:

  • The Relic Rumble — featuring current Pinoy talent and mystery entrants, competing for an undisclosed prize.

  • Alien Friend vs Hakai Mateo — following Mateo’s post-match attack at Bakunawa, this long-awaited grudge match is now official.

Full preview coming closer to event day.

WUW Announces Fight Night 2 — December 14

World Underground Wrestling Philippines returns with Fight Night 2, held at The Brawlpit Bulusan.
This will be a pay-what-you-can, standing-room-only event, where Matchmaker Miguel pursues his new direction — though several original underground veterans look poised to challenge that vision.

PSE: Asia Returns to Phuket & Introduces New Chinese Livestream Wrestlers

Sunny Z confirmed that PSE is back in Phuket, including special events at Hard Rock Café and Red Radisson dinner shows.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Livestream “Battle Dungeon” rotation introduces new competitors from across the world:

  • Herco Whisky (Argentina)

  • DMTAoMan (China-based)

  • Sebastien (Italy)

Expect high-intensity format matches designed for fast audience engagement.

Mason to Cash In on Ryan Shen at SPW Tranquilo

(Paraphrased Section)

After winning the Halloween Battle Royale at SPW Hardcore Island 3, Mason is wasting no time cashing in his earned title shot. He’ll challenge Ryan Shen for the SPW Hardcore Championship at SPW Tranquilo.

Shen finally reached the mountaintop — but staying there is another battle entirely. Mason, known for chaotic brawling and extreme match history, is determined to rip the title away in Shen’s first defense. Shen will need to prove that his championship reign is no fluke — and that he belongs at the top.

Grapplemax UNITY — Major Match Announcements

ICW Tag Team Championship

Heaven & Earth vs Arcade Violence (ICW Tag Champions)
Heaven & Earth’s breakout season in 2025 has caught international attention — enough to draw Arcade Violence, the two-time ICW Tag Champions from Scotland, to Singapore. The champions have beaten every top team at home; now they’re testing Singapore’s best.

6-Man Tag Team Showdown

BIG DAVE & LFG (Crypto Bro LK & KAL)
vs
Endboss Gregory, Kelvin Lang & Xtian

After WrestlePagar, BIG DAVE refused Endboss’ handshake, aligning instead with LFG. Gregory, unfazed, has recruited Kelvin Lang and “The Velvet Voyager” Xtian. This match combines long histories, grudges, and clashing philosophies — unity or fracture, depending where you stand.

Ring of Rebirth — Comedy Wrestling 3: November Pain

Raga Ngadai (with Tobias Frost)
vs
Light Singa Noor

Raga Ngadai returns after his APAC Wrestling debut, guided by manager Tobias Frost and his mysterious “talking” theater mask.
Across from him is Light Singa Noor — referee, occasional wrestler, and self-proclaimed Lion. Noor has never pinned or submitted an opponent, but claims his roar is coming.
Is this the night he proves it? Or will Raga continue his hunt?

Bali Pro Wrestling — First Strike Match Announcement

The road to the Island Championship begins:

Kojio Akumu, the disciplined “Ichigaya Nightmare,” brings global striking precision.
He faces Eurasian Dragon, one of Singapore’s most respected veterans, carrying years of regional legacy into this new frontier.
