SEA Wrestling Weekend Preview
Another packed international weekend of wrestling is upon us in Southeast Asia, with wrestlers throwing down in all types of locations — from fancy cocktail bars in Bangkok to underground punk rock rooms in Singapore, all the way to larger event halls in Malaysia.
Singapore Takes to the Mats with Grapplemax at Pasar Pink and Keep 'Em Separated 2
Two distinctively different shows with very different audiences, but two things in common. The first is they'll both be mat-based shows and, of course, the second is an awesome dose of Singapore wrestling.
Grapplemax at Pasar Pink
Clearly trying to top themselves every month in 2025, the promotion seems to be going for a show every week. Following Bash at Bahru, Grapplemax roll out the largest pro wrestling mats in the world (find me bigger guys!) to put on a two-day spectacle at Pasar Pink Singapore — the largest inclusive festival in Southeast Asia.
Based on a promo segment, it looks like Radiant Rui will be aligned with some new faces, Thunder Hao and Lightning Jay (from the House of Dee), who look very ready to wrestle!
Pasar Pro Wrestling is back this weekend on 6th and 7th June at New Bahru School Hall (Level 2)!
SATURDAY, 6 JUNE from 3:45 PM to 4:45 PM
SUNDAY, 7 JUNE from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
There will also be a meet and greet session after each show. Entry is free!
Keep 'Em Separated 2
Singapore's wildest punk rock pro wrestling event returns this Saturday when Emmadkat Productions put on another on-the-mats show at Room 526, with added musical acts.
Tickets sell out fast — quite frankly, this event is so popular with industry insiders that 60% of the fans are wrestlers themselves, showing their true fan selves for once.
Announced matches include:
Black Kat vs SPW Hardcore Champion Mason
SPW Singapore Champion Dr Gore & ROR Champion Tok Bomoh Mekong vs LOVE X FRDM
Bryson Blade & Jack Alexander vs Jack N' Cheese
Emman vs Mad Kat Karina 2
This show could quite easily fill the Foo Chow building, so you don't want to miss it. If you saw any footage of what Jack Alexander and BGJ did to each other at MYPW New Breed 4, you know this is unmissable.
Musical acts include Bellied Star, Leave Alive and wreckonizehc.
The Lab Experiment 3
The third Lab Experiment runs from Lemon Bangkok this Saturday — another mat show, but this time from upmarket cocktail bar Lemon Bangkok.
The scheduled matches for the show is:
Kevin Weng vs SETUP 24/7 Champion Dewdy
Manuel vs SETUP Openweight Champion Anot Alonzo
Naga Nai vs Jonathon Johnson
IWA Japan World Championship: Shivam © vs P-Nutz
The show starts at 8PM, with doors open from 5PM.
Apac Wrestling — Edge of Glory
Apac Wrestling returns to ESI Grand Hall in Puchong, Malaysia for a big card that looks to reset the playing field in Trial By Fire.
Much like some WWE shows from around the 2010s, this event features three matches under the Trial By Fire banner. Six competitors enter the ring at two-minute intervals in matches that are anything goes — no disqualification, with elimination by pinfall or submission.
The three matches scheduled in this format are:
Contract in the Case: Zaidi "The Concrete" Azriel vs The Eurasian Dragon vs Putra Bulan vs Masaru Danial vs Sage Matthews vs "Mighty" Eddie Emil.
Favorites for this match include wily veteran Eurasian Dragon, rising international sensation Sage Matthews and local hero Eddie Emil.
Apac Wrestling Championship: Dreamkiller Azroy © vs "Alpha" Alfa Nazri vs "The Retis" Double K vs Konrad Kai vs "Relentless Wolf" Ragab vs "The Master of All" Shaukat.
Could this match be the final stop on Azroy's epic reign as Apac Champion? His number was almost up a few months ago when he faced Alfa, and more recently against Shaheen. Now he faces some of the biggest names in Malaysian wrestling and beyond — all in one match.
Apac Women's Championship: Nor "Phoenix" Diana vs Crystal vs Mio Shirai vs Maya Hartsteel vs Markia Kobashi vs Erika Reid.
The Apac Women's Championship, vacated by Mercedes Moné some time ago, will find a new holder this Saturday when six world-renowned women battle it out in the Trial By Fire. Favorites include two-time previous holder Diana, one-time champion Crystal and the sister of WWE Superstar Iyo Sky, Mio Shirai.
Also on the card:
The globetrotting Shaheen returns to battle newcomer Arash Kaelyon. Singapore veteran Aerial Snyper NYC continues his battles against Ring of Rebirth talent when he faces Hendo Ramli. And Raga Ngadai (w/ Tobias Frost) battles Razif "Fiyah" Razin and the returning Serigala in what promises to be a chaotic affair.
Tickets are almost sold out — make sure to grab yours now.
What a weekend to be a Southeast Asian wrestling fan. From the inclusive energy of Pasar Pink to the sweaty chaos of a punk rock basement show, from Bangkok cocktail bar grappling to a Malaysian hall packed for championship gold — this region continues to prove that it doesn't just have a wrestling scene, it has a wrestling culture. Wherever you are this weekend, support your local promotion and your local wrestlers. They're building something special, and every ticket, every cheer and every share matters. We'll see you on the other side.
