Southeast Asian Wrestlers Continue Global Run

Southeast Asian talent remained active on the international stage this past week, with several names appearing across Europe and Japan.

Pro Wrestling: EVE
Alexis Lee competed in the UK shortly after her appearance in France. She teamed with Abi Cartwright but fell short against NyteSkye (Skye Smitson & Violet Nyte) at Resist & Riot, held at Big Penny Social. Lee was also scheduled for a follow-up appearance with Fist Club.

For context, EVE remains the largest all-female wrestling promotion outside of Japan.

Meanwhile in Japan, Singapore veteran Mighty Mighty confirmed his involvement in the main event of Choco Pro #521, teaming with Miya Yotsuba against The Best Bros.

Grapplemax: Bash at Bahru Announced

Grapplemax Pro Wrestling has officially announced Bash at Bahru, the opening event of its 10th anniversary season.

  • Location: Tiong Bahru CC

  • Bell Time: 7:00 PM (activities from 5:30 PM)

The event leans heavily into nostalgia, drawing inspiration from Singapore’s 1960s wrestling boom at Gay World, Happy World, and Great World.

What to expect:

  • All three Grapplemax championships on the line

  • A six-man elimination match to determine the next Openweight title contender

  • International guests including Shaheen (Dubai), JT (India), and Sage Matthews (USA)

Regular roster members such as GST, SPD, Jullian Creed, DEGEN-Z, Divya, Radiant Rui, and Ban Sachak are also featured, suggesting a strong, full-scale show.

Pre-show activities will include beginner-friendly wrestling workshops open to all ages.

SETUP Confirms Next Event

SETUP Thailand announced its next show for June 27 following Absolute Mayhem.

Framed as a measured, small-capacity event, the show featured 50 “inspectors” in attendance, reinforcing the promotion’s concept-driven presentation focused on in-ring testing and performance evaluation.
