SEA Wrestling Weekly News Update 31st August 2026

A busy week across the region, with two shows to come this weekend, a title win for a Singaporean wrestler in the United States, and more matches announced for the biggest Filipino card of the year.

Puso Wrestling run Wild Heart this Sunday

Puso Wrestling hold their next ticketed event, Wild Heart, at Got Sauce Studios this Sunday. Tickets are still on sale and the promotion's socials have the full details. We will cover the card later in the week.

Two more matches added to FPW Unfinished Business Sept 27th

Filipino Pro Wrestling's biggest show of the year is taking shape, and two more matches have now been announced. Ralph Imabayashi will face ZABOS, and Rio Rufino gets a rematch for the Metro Manila Championship against champion Jan Evander, following Rufino's recent win by disqualification.

Those two matches join Mike Madrigal against Joshua Ellevistah in a Walang Batas (No Holds Barred) match, and the FPW Championship match between Quatro and Cali Nueva. Tickets are on sale now.

World Underground Wrestling put a 2022 show online

World Underground Wrestling have released their 2022 event Invasion for free on their YouTube channel. It is an early show from the post covid period of Pinoy wrestling, and it is worth a look for anyone who wants to see how the scene looked a few years ago. Link at bottom of news.

Ring of Rebirth return this weekend

Ring of Rebirth Comedy Wrestling return this weekend with Showtime vs Bomoh, and the full card has been announced. The show takes its name from the main event, in which Showtime challenges Tok Bomoh Mekong for the Ring of Rebirth Championship.

Elsewhere on the card, Erfie Blackheart and Light Singa Noor face Raga Ngadai and Tobias Frost in a grudge match. The story has been building over the last few shows through a run of controversial finishes and through the way Noor has been treated on screen.

Midnight Snack takes on Alfred, who really is the young heart of the Ring of Rebirth roster.

Fariz Bravo then meets Eurasian Dragon, with a stipulation on each side. If Bravo wins, he earns a Ring of Rebirth Championship shot, any time and any place. If Dragon wins, Bravo cleans the dojo for three years. Dragon has a long record of setting these terms and then coming off worse (Fast Forever anyone?), so the confident Bravo may fancy his chances. With the title also on the line in the main event, a win for Bravo would leave him holding a shot at whoever walks out of the building as champion. Tickets are on sale now.

Alexis Lee wins the Happiness Pro Title

On 28 August, at New Texas Pro's Texas Indie Showcase 6, Alexis Lee defeated Amira to become the first ever Happiness Pro Champion. Lee is currently on a tour of the United States. The win makes her a double champion again, as she also holds the Bali Pro Wrestling Women's Championship.

Singapore Pro Wrestling have put Alexis Lee against Selina from Reckoning on Youtube. Link at bottom of news.

Bryson Blade posts video before tag match

Bryson Blade has posted a video ahead of his tag match, in which he teams with Terrance against Mighty Mighty and Ryan Shen. In the video he aims some strong and personal comments at the veteran Mighty Mighty.

Sunny Z takes part in TNA tryout

Sunny Z, owner of Paradise Sports Entertainment, has posted a photo showing that he recently attended a TNA Wrestling tryout in Canada. Congratulations to him. We will update if we hear more.

Video marks fifteen years for Pumi

Matcha has put together a video of best wishes and congratulations from familiar faces in wrestling, marking fifteen years in the business for Pumi.

MYPW announce September tryouts

MYPW have announced their next set of professional wrestling tryouts, on Wednesday 9 and Saturday 12 September. More information is on the MYPW Facebook page.

DPW eXPo set for 26 September

IDPW have announced eXPo for 26 September. The promotion says the day will bring together matches from IDPW wrestlers, a Superstar Cosplay Challenge where fans can dress as their favourite wrestler, and stalls selling merchandise, figures and wrestling gear. IDPW are framing it as a chance for fans who follow wrestling on their own to meet the wider community, rather than as a standard show (based on translation). Presale tickets open on 1 September 2026.
