SEA Wrestling News Update: APAC Wrestling Dates Confirmed, Vietnamania Teasers, VPW Updates & Regional Activity

APAC Wrestling Announces Two Major Shows

APAC Wrestling has confirmed its next events, beginning with Ascent on 13 December at ESI Hall, Spacerubix. The promotion will return to the same venue on 14 February 2026 for Wrestlelegion II, one of its flagship shows.

No match announcements have been made yet. However, fans fully expect fallout from De Retis’ attack on Shaukat as well as reaction to Nor “Phoenix” Diana’s loss to Mercedes Moné in New York. As previously reported, Moné is not expected to appear for APAC again so soon, especially with speculation around Slamfest 26.

VPW Outside the Ring: Hy Draco Spotlight

The latest episode of Outside the Ring features the injured former VPW Champion Hy Draco. Hosted by Phuong Nam, the episode serves as a career overview and insight into Draco’s inspirations and development.

The episode is now available on YouTube with reliable English subtitles. SEA Wrestling will soon publish recaps of all three episodes for international viewers.

New Teasers Roll Out for Vietnamania

Four new teasers dropped this week to build towards Vietnamania, each teasing developments across VPW’s landscape.

  • Da Butcherman & Miles Karu: A new video confirms the pair are planning to team up. Fans are already debating possible names. With only six match slots advertised, they are likely to land in some form of multi-team tag encounter.

  • Phuong Nam & Ares: After defeating Da Butcherman, the duo now want a bigger challenge—whether globally or closer to home.

  • KPY: Now finished with Vortex Rebellion, KPY says he is open to any challenger.

  • Henry & Khoa Truong: The newest teasers highlight comedic friction between the two. Henry clearly wants a singles run, while Khoa is trying to keep the team together.

With these developments, a possible Khoa/Henry vs Butcherman/Karu match is in play, but SEA Wrestling believes multiple teams—local and international—may be involved.

Notably absent from promotion so far are Dokuga & Rensho (the former Venom Shank). Fans will be watching closely to see if they collide on December 6.

A Sudden Meeting in Tokyo? Statement Seen With Naito

Ahead of SPW Tranquilo, Tetsuya Naito and The Statement Andruew Tang were spotted together in Tokyo. Neither man has disclosed the reason for the meeting. Was it simply pre-match preparation—or an early plan to neutralise Da Butcherman ahead of the SPW Southeast Asia Championship bout?

Los Tranquilos Fully Seated Out

All seated tickets for Los Tranquilos (29 November) are confirmed sold out. Limited standing tickets may remain, so fans are urged to secure theirs immediately.

New Match Added to SETUP Thailand’s A Hard Day’s Night

After Good Deal lost the IWA Japan SETUP World Tag Titles, Anont Alonzo seems to be thriving. With a world title match against Daz Black lined up for early 2026—and fresh off a win against Kagura in Japan—Alonzo appears more focused than ever on a singles career.

His next opponent will be top U.S. independent wrestler Nic Nolan, a student of Lance Storm and Seth Rollins, and someone MYPW Champion Carlo Cannon rates highly. For Alonzo, another singles win would further cement his momentum.

PSE Thailand Teases Holiday Shows

Sunny Z posted a photo indicating that PSE Thailand may run holiday or Christmas shows at Illuzion in Phuket. It’s unclear whether this is limited to 27 November or the beginning of a series, but securing Phuket’s largest nightclub is a significant achievement.

Top Dojo To Run Siam Fighter

SIAM Fighter 2025 will take place on 20–21 December 2025 at TEA Art Hub, bringing another combat sports showcase to the Bangkok scene.

FPW Confirms Astig With KUSHIDA

  • FPW Champion Quatro
