SEA Wrestling News Update – 2 October 2025
Professional wrestling across Southeast Asia continues to see a steady flow of announcements, new match confirmations, and developments from established promotions as well as emerging companies. Vietnam, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, and Indonesia have all provided updates in the past week, marking one of the most active periods of regional news in recent months. With major shows ahead, high-profile debuts, and new promotions beginning to take shape, SEA Wrestling brings you a full breakdown of what’s been revealed.

Vietnam Pro Wrestling News – Brawl Hallows Eve Updates
Xumin Long vs An D with D Austin confirmed
This week Kira led his troops onto camera to confirm that he would accept KPY’s challenge but that he is far from done with former mentor An D. Instead of leaving him alone, he will send his best footsoldier Xumin Long into battle but only on the acceptance from An D that Vortex Rebellion heavy D Austin can be at ringside. This will be a sizeable challenge for the returning An D who has only wrestled once in the past 2 years.
Kira vs KPY – first-time singles clash
As mentioned this story of broken friendship finally comes to an end at Brawl Hallows Eve when the leader of Vortex Rebellion meets his former ally KPY in one on one competition.
These two have never faced off and should KPY get a fair shot a Kira it’s likely he will tear him apart. But fair shot is the word and Vortex Rebellion never fight clean or alone.
Ares vs Da Butcherman match announced
Announced Tuesday evening, the now dubbed SEA Monster Ares was looking for more challengers after devouring Jake De Leon (Phuon Nam’s words) at The Rumble. Answering the challenge is a man who momentarily took it to him in The Rumble, Singapore Pro Wrestling’s Southeast Asia Champion – Da Butcherman.
No word on if this will be a double title match as the night before Butcherman defends his belt against Shigehiro Irie. However this is almost guaranteed to be one of the best matches in Southeast Asia of the year.
Already announced was Khoa & Henry Vs The Rocky Horror Show meaning four matches have been announced, with between one and three matches left to confirm for the show as well as at least one international appearance to be revealed by the promotion.
Just Announced - Bubble Tea Brawl
For a reminder to all, at The Rumble, the SEA Trio of Evil as we'll call them united their frustrations against the success of VPW and it's loyal fanbase to assault as many VPW originals as they could. One of the main victims was proud VPW original, dedicated father and one of the best tag team competitors in Southeast Asia - Phuong Nam. Now with his partner out indefinately, Despicable Damien Wolfe wishes to take revenge on Miles Karu who swung the chair. In a hostile video targeting the Malaysian standout, Damien reminded him he is a dangerous former VPW Openweight champion and challenged him to a Bubble Tea Brawl. What this entails remains to be seen. You'll have to get tickets to the hottest Halloween event in Vietnam to find out!
Brawl Hallows Even 25th October - VAIB Studios - Ho Chi Minh City

Jack Alexander completes current SEA Circuit this October by making DEXCON debut – he will take on Isaiah Valencia at Sari Sari Slam in what will be a test for Alexander. However he has shown a recent advancement in his wrestling after being more of a challenge for Shivam than expected, but in Valencia he faces a competitor who has become quite the aggressor in recent months.
The matches already announced for DEXCO Sari Sari Slam 19th October include:
Chelsea Marie Vs Lacey Lane
Jake De Leon Vs Kidd Bandit
Robin Sane Vs Carlo Cannon
TBA Vs Cheeseburger Kid
Puso Wrestling Alamat main event teased

Cambodia Wrestling News – Paradise Sports Entertainment
Phnom Penh exhibition wrestling event report

From online footage Benji and Sunny Z put on a strong performance.
Indonesia Wrestling News – Bali Pro Wrestling
Bali Pro Wrestling launch announcement
A new Instagram account for Bali Pro Wrestling has been created, confirming the establishment of another promotion alongside Indonesia Pro Wrestling. Both groups have stated they will work amicably.
The possibility of two promotions is a positive development for an island-based nation. IDW could potentially focus on Jakarta, appealing to a local and expat fanbase, while Bali Pro could become a tourist attraction if operating in Ubud or Kuta, similar to the PSE model in Thailand. From a regional perspective, the prospect of two new flags for Southeast Asian wrestling in 2026 is notable.
Conclusion – Southeast Asia Wrestling Weekly Roundup
This week’s developments highlight just how active and diverse the Southeast Asian wrestling scene has become. Vietnam Pro Wrestling has taken major steps in building Brawl Hallows Eve with three new matches, while the Philippines prepares for significant clashes at both DEXCON and Puso Wrestling. Singapore’s scene remains strong with SPW confirming BUSHI’s appearance and a high-stakes Hardcore Championship bout, while Grapplemax continues its steady online presence. Thailand has multiple projects advancing, including Top Dojo, SETUP’s cross-border expansion, and TJPW’s debut in Bangkok. Cambodia has shown encouraging signs with Paradise Sports Entertainment, and Indonesia adds further momentum with the emergence of Bali Pro Wrestling. Together, these updates reinforce that professional wrestling in the region is entering a period of consistent growth, with new opportunities and landmark shows continuing to shape the landscape.
