SEA Wrestling News Update – 16 January
Jack N’ Cheese and Alexis Lee Head to Pro Wrestling Society Korea
Singapore Pro Wrestling will be well represented in South Korea as three of its champions travel to Pro Wrestling Society Korea for the upcoming Snowstorm event.
Jack and Cheese will face each other in the high-stakes Golden Pig Match, with the winner earning a prize equivalent to USD $1 million. While the financial incentive is eye-catching, the match also places two stablemates directly opposite one another on an international stage.
Alexis Lee is set for a far more personal challenge, renewing her long-running rivalry with Poison Rose. The bout will crown the inaugural PWS Women’s Champion, adding historic significance to an already heated feud. Lee currently trails Rose 3–4 in their career head-to-head record, raising the stakes even further as she looks to finally tip the balance while capturing the first women’s title in company history.
VPW For the Faithful Results – Rensho Departs
Vietnam Pro Wrestling held a small, private For the Faithful showcase last Saturday, spotlighting its roster in a closed setting. Results from the event were as follows:
British Horror defeated Meteor Kid
Khoa and Henry defeated The Classic Night
Ares and KPY wrestled to a 10-minute draw in a special challenge match
Ronnie El Rapido defeated Xumin Long and Hy Draco
The show took a dramatic turn when Rensho announced his departure from VPW, offering a brief farewell to those in attendance. The moment was abruptly interrupted when his brother entered, embraced him, then turned violent—spraying mist and assaulting Rensho with a baseball bat, closing the night on a shocking note.
SEA Wrestling wishes Rensho well with his future plans.
Nor “Phoenix” Diana Spotted at NXT
Malaysian standout Nor “Phoenix” Diana was spotted front row at the latest episode of WWE NXT, having already arrived in Orlando ahead of her confirmed WWE tryout.
Her prominent ringside positioning did not go unnoticed and is widely viewed as a positive sign. SEA Wrestling believes Diana would be a strong addition to the WWE roster, particularly with several high-profile international events rumored for the Middle East and the ongoing speculation surrounding a future Johor Bahru show.
PSE: Asia Adds Major Anniversary Matches
PSE: Asia has added significant international intrigue to its 2nd Anniversary Event on February 1 at the PSE Performance Center in Pattaya.
Match #3 has been confirmed as a seven-man Hardcore Warzone, featuring wrestlers from seven different countries in a no-limits environment. With weapons legal and alliances meaningless, the winner will earn the right to challenge for any championship in PSE at any time, including the Open Weight or Thailand Grand Championship.
The event will also feature a triple-threat match for the CWE (China Wrestling Entertainment) Championship, bringing a China-versus-China showdown to Thailand. Defending champion Chen Wen Bin will face long-time rival Saga and Japanese-trained challenger Lin Dong Xuan. With national pride and championship gold on the line, the match adds further depth to what is shaping up as a truly international spectacle.
Apac Wrestling Confirms WrestleLegion Rivalry Match
Apac Wrestling has announced another major bout for WrestleLegion II, as “Bad Boy” Hendo Ramli finally collides with The Eurasian Dragon in a No Holds Barred match.
Once brothers-in-arms, the two have been locked in a bitter rivalry for over a year, marked by betrayal, injury, and unfinished business. With no rules and no escape, WrestleLegion II promises a definitive conclusion to one of Apac Wrestling’s most personal feuds.
DEXCON Fast Break Announces New Matches
DEXCON Fast Break continues to build momentum with two key match announcements.
An international dream match will see Shivam return to action, defending the IWA Japan Setup World Heavyweight Championship. Representing Thailand, Shivam faces a dangerous trio from the Philippines: Robin Sane, Joey Rosas, and Isaiah Valencia. Despite past alliances and shared history between HY/OP, Real Global Threat, and JDL, the championship stipulation ensures a true every-man-for-himself contest.
Elsewhere, Jomar D. Wrestler looks to extend his impressive run following a major victory over Ho Ho Lun. Standing in his way is the returning Jack Alexander, with Jomar openly stating his ambition to become the most dominant Pinoy wrestler today—an ambition Alexander will look to derail.
