SEA Wrestling News Roundup – 12 July 2025
As we barrel into another action-packed weekend across the region, the rings of Southeast Asia are buzzing with drama, debuts, and dream matches. From Thailand to Singapore, the wrestling world doesn’t sleep — and neither do we. Here’s what you need to know.

THAILAND
SETUP: Under Pressure Heats Up
Thailand’s SETUP Wrestling is living up to the name of its upcoming Episode 23: Under Pressure, with three wild match announcements.
Matcha vs Ram Kaichow
After Matcha dethroned former champ Raku, the fallout turned personal — because Raku’s real-life partner is none other than Japan’s underground icon, Ram Kaichow. The twisted warrior from Wrestling of Darkness 666 makes her Thailand debut, and she’s not here for gold — she wants vengeance. She’s coming to crush Matcha and defend her wife’s honor in front of a Thai crowd that won’t know what hit them.
Tag Title Tension Explodes
In an unprecedented move, SETUP is resolving the friction between tag champs Good Deal with a “Winner Takes All” singles match. The victor walks away with both belts and the right to choose a new tag partner. A one-of-a-kind match with huge implications for the future of the division.
Jeney vs BGJ
The bad blood between Jeney and Big Good Jack has finally reached its boiling point. Special rules are in play: Jeney only needs a two-count to win, while BGJ must follow the traditional three-count. With high risk and higher egos involved, BGJ has even warned SETUP not to complain if things get ugly. Expect chaos.

TOP Dojo’s KINGDOM UNDER FIRE (July 20)
First round matches for the King of Thai Wrestling Tournament 2025 are confirmed, and the format is pure grappling grit. Matches must end via pinfall, submission, or knockout only on the tennis arena floor. Prince Benny enters without privileges, while Golem Thai skips straight to round two based on his dominant record. No fists, no weapons, no mercy.

MALAYSIA
Full Throttle Tonight!
Malaysia Pro Wrestling returns to the KuAsh Theatre on Saturday, July 12, for Full Throttle. With titles on the line and personal rivalries igniting, this stacked card promises to bring the house down.
