Ring of Rebirth – Social Harmony Recap & Review
With SPW and GrappleMax both on a break until later this month, Ring of Rebirth stepped in last night to deliver some much-needed action. It looked like they were using SPW’s ring — or at least their ropes and turnbuckles — to fight in. The smaller setting gave it a studio-style feel, which ended up suiting the night’s flow.
ROR Title Quarter Final – Kachachi vs. Erfie Blackheart
Erfie opened by playing the sly heel — picking his spots, dodging, taunting. But once the games stopped, Blackheart turned up the aggression. A highlight came when Erfie yanked Kuchachi neck-first onto the ropes, then went for a pin with his legs bouncing up onto the ropes for leverage.
Kuchachi fired back with some nasty chops, but missed a leg strike to the back of the head, giving Erfie the opening for a jumping DDT. That sealed it — Erfie advanced as the final semi-finalist.
Fun, compact, TV-style match. Studio wrestling at its best — simple, meaningful, and entertaining without relying on dangerous spots.
Segment – Nish the Comedian & LTA
Nish’s comedy set was interrupted by CK Vin and Bryson Blade. They ran him down for “not being Singaporean,” with Vin landing a good “foreign interference” gag before things turned into a volley of Malaysia/Singapore economic jabs. Bryson shined on the mic here — it’s been a while since either had a live mic, and both delivered.
Mr G Raj vs. Ref Noor & Alfred
A comedy-heated hybrid. Raj “generously” let Noor borrow his sidekick Alfred after beating Noor last time, but Alfred immediately refused to tag — earning chants and taunts from the crowd.
Nor surprisingly overpowered Raj early, but momentum swung back quickly. Raj brutalized both opponents, double-chopping and kneeing them, only for Alfred to sneak in a moment of rebellion. Eventually, Raj dispatched Alfred with a running knee, then made Nor tap to an armlock in this elimination bout.
Main Event – Eurasian Dragon & Mr G Raj vs. Legion of Total Anarchy (CK Vin & Bryson Blade)
Dragon and Raj clicked fast as a team, showing some crisp double-team offense early. But LTA isolated Dragon, working him over with quick tags and punishing holds. Dragon fought back with judo rolls and got the hot tag to Raj, who ran wild on both Vin and Blade.
A double suplex from Dragon had the fans roaring, but chaos broke out when Blade kicked the ref, allowing LTA to take over. Out of nowhere, Erfie Blackheart stormed in and DDT’d Dragon — shocking everyone. Raj ate a Michinoku Driver, and LTA stole the win.
Really great match, I've been enjoying this storyline series and it continues to be a low key favorite storyline of mine built around solid matches.
Final Thoughts
Another solid ROR outing. We got a tight TV-style opener, a comedic middle match with crowd interaction, and a strong, story-driven main event.
Key Questions Moving Forward:
When will we finally see the ROR Championship belt?
Who becomes the first champion?
Why did Erfie attack Dragon — and is he now aligned with LTA?
Was the ring chosen for the venue, or the venue for the ring?
The next ROR show isn’t far away — keep your eyes open.
