Puso Wrestling Livestream XII - The Last Stop to Alamat
Puso Wrestling Livestream XII kicked off with an introduction from Super P, whose energy was absolutely infectious. She wasted no time hyping the crowd and laying out the night’s big matches, while also reminding fans about Alamat this Sunday
Joya & Robin Sane vs Hakai Mateo & Aaron Liwanag
Mateo immediately stood out with his twitchy, angry energy and constant shouting, which even had Liwanag telling him to calm down before they even got started. The pace was frenetic: Joya and Sane delivered crisp dropkicks, but Mateo seemed impervious, adding an unpredictable edge to the bout.
A small miscue—Mateo distracted on the apron—allowed Sane to push him over, setting up a tag to Liwanag. Joya ran wild with running knees for a near fall, while the red-and-crimson duo took turns working over Liwanag before he was able to hit a massive scoop slam on Joya. Mateo and Same’s exchanges brought some back-and-forth, but it was the double-team sequences and big moves like Sane’s running senton and Joya’s Meteora that really stood out.
Aaron Liwanag brought the heat with a stiff chokeslam, while Joya landed Killjoy, only for Mateo to answer with a lariat that looked brutal. Sane survived a strongman slam only to have Mateo threaten him, but clever submission work—via a kimura—forced Mateo to tap out, giving the babyfaces the win. It wasn’t the cleanest match, and none of the four would call it career-defining, but the finish made Mateo feel legitimately dangerous heading into Alamat.
Chelsea Marie vs Elmo
Next up was a perfect showcase for building tension and storytelling in the ring, as Chelsea Marie squared off against Elmo. What started as a light-hearted scuffle quickly escalated, with Elmo attempting a near roll-up early, only for Marie to assert her dominance with a series of strikes and a confident err Boob Busta.
Marie's taunting provided even cause Joya to try and reach her opponent this Sunday. Marie worked methodically, striking, locking, and controlling the pace. Elmo’s running attacks only made the payoff stronger when Marie countered into a leg lock around the head, forcing a tap. It was a classic “star vs. jobber” story, executed with precision and old-school WCW Saturday Night vibes from 1992.
Barangay Baksakan vs Main Maxx & Alien Friend
The main event tag chaos brought a new level of spectacle. Barangay Baksakan debuted fresh T-shirts and brought their usual aggression, while Alien Friend and Main Maxx matched them with technical exchanges and inventive spots. Early tie-ups and snapmares led to Valencia’s relentless offense, but Maxx’s experience and Alien Friend’s creativity kept the match unpredictable.
Highlights included a massive lariat off the corner, a fireman’s carry Alien spin, and multiple sequences of double-team beatdowns. The crowd buzzed with each near-fall, especially when Maxx and Valencia traded blows and corner splashes. The finish descended into chaos: a low blow from Nigel led to a DQ, followed by belt-assisted beatdowns that cleared the ring. Maxx capitalized on the destruction to hype his upcoming showdown with Jake, promising that despite his mental and physical ups and downs, he would deliver in a huge way. His promo was super passionate and really makes you feel for Maxx heading into the war with Jake De Leon at Alamat
Final Thoughts
Puso Wrestling continues to impress with its livestream main events. The production quality—clever camera angles, fish-eye lenses, and tight commentary—made every sequence feel unique. It’s a tragedy that Puso doesn’t have the means to tour more widely, as these shows are pure wrestling magic, brimming with personality, risk, and energy that feels both nostalgic and fresh.
