Puso Wrestling Livestream 7

Between Karera and Dexcon, the Stories Keep Moving

Puso Wrestling returned for their 7th livestream event, landing comfortably between their previous show Karera and the upcoming Dexcon next month. While there’s now a bit more separation between Dexcon and Puso as events, it still feels like part of the same evolving narrative — almost like a brand extension where the same roster explores different themes and combinations.

Robin Sane opened the show with a confident promo delivered in Tagalog, welcoming viewers and setting the tone. Puso’s practice of introducing guest wrestlers with these mini-promo segments continues to be one of the most charming aspects of their presentation. You can’t help but wonder how long until a bigger promotion takes notice of this format.

Match 1: Robin Sane & Gabriel Arkangel vs Joey Rosas & Trainee Elmo

Elmo is now established as Joey Rosas' “new best friend”, and the partnership is as cheesy as you’d hope. Arkangel’s alignment remains a bit murky — still teasing both sides of the fence — but we’ll have to watch how that plays out.

Robin Sane spent the early part of this match tying up with Elmo, who’s showing clear progress already, albeit in small steps. After an exchange of counters, Rosas tagged in but quickly lost control after a running lubot (sp?), allowing Sane to regain momentum with ease. Rosas hit a bouncy neckbreaker, but again, it wasn’t long before Sane responded with a sharp dropkick and a cocky demeanor to match.

Gabriel Arkangel finally got involved with a DDT and some double-team offense alongside Sane. At this point, the veterans seemed in full control — lazy snapmares, dragon sleeper attempts, and a clear desire to soften Rosas up ahead of bigger matches to come.

Elmo’s hot tag brought a burst of energy — flying clotheslines and a big scoop slam — but the tide soon turned again. Sane landed the Red Cyclone on Elmo and looked to finish it, only for Arkangel to get involved in a moment of confusion. That led to Rosas and Elmo hitting a messy but effective assisted spear and Fameasser combo for a shocking three-count upset.

Post-match, Sane looked furious. After Arkangel untied him from the ropes, he delivered a swift flying kick to his partner for good measure. This was a clever story about two rookies nearly derailing the veterans through chaos and miscommunication. With Dexcon looming, tensions between Red Lightning and the Convict seem inevitable.

Match 2: Isaiah Valencia (w/ Jake De Leon) vs Hakai Mateo

If you missed a beat post-Karera, it appears Isaiah Valencia has now earned the respect of Jake De Leon (JDL), and the two are operating as a unit.

This match opened with textbook technician vs powerhouse dynamics. Mateo had the early strength advantage, but Valencia’s agility and technical craft soon shone through — including a nice running bicycle kick and methodical leg work, clearly borrowed from JDL’s own playbook.

After Mateo tried to break Valencia’s momentum with suplexes and slams, JDL’s interference opened the door for Valencia to target the leg with a dragon screw and a heel hook for the tap-out victory.

Another story-driven match and a clean slice of TV-style wrestling that efficiently progressed the Valencia-JDL pairing. JDL hyped up his young charge post-match and declared them the "2-Piece Chicken Boys." Personally? I’m a 3-piece man myself.

Match 3: Superfriends (El Katipunero & Ligaia) vs Joya & Fabio Makisig (“Hassle”)

Makisig and Joya are now calling themselves “Hassle” I think, and that name fits perfectly. Joya started this with El Katipunero, mixing judo-based offense with scrappy strikes, but ultimately being overpowered into submission holds.

Ligaia entered looking sharp — and yes, it looked like she’s sporting new hair. Always looking sharp! She hit some clean dropkicks and drew attention from the commentary team for her Ice Ribbon background.

Makisig brought his usual energy with stiff strikes but missed a brutal-looking swing kick, allowing Ligaia to fire back with a scoop slam and leg drop for two. The action broke down into rapid tags, big clotheslines, and double suplex attempts.

Despite some streaming issues mid-match, the pace stayed high. Ligaia nearly had it after weathering judo throws from Joya, but Fabio Makisig hit a Coup de Grâce on her, followed by a brainbuster for the win.

A fantastic little tag match where everyone gave 110%.

Main Event: Nah NG Liwanag (Solomon & Aaron) vs Barangay Bagsakan (Hit & Nigel San Jose)

The Nah NG Liwanag pairing of Solomon & Aaron felt more focused tonight, working their heel teamwork game well. Nigel San Jose looked sharp early with elbows, flying clotheslines, and b-boy style offense. However, Liwanag’s teamwork soon isolated Hit, grinding him down with double teams and a nasty chinlock.

Aaron tried to unmask Hit at one point (naughty!) and hit a gutwrench suplex before a big body slam from Solomon. Hit fought back with a double crossbody, and Nigel stormed in with suplexes and big strikes.

After a scramble of tags and break-ups, Nah NG Liwanag secured the win with a double team chokeslam on Hit.

Post-match, Robin Sane appeared again to thank the crowd and spotlight Hit’s resilience.

Final Thoughts:

This was another strong outing for Puso Wrestling. For me, Match 3 stole the show with its energy, teamwork, and pacing. I did miss seeing some familiar faces — Chelsea, Ravena, Alien Friend, Main Maxx, and of course Super P who we all eagerly wait for the return of— but that’s the nature of rotating cards. Hopefully, next time.

Puso continues to grow its roster identity through these livestreams. Little details like alternate outfits for these shows (Makisig’s green vest, Joya’s bike shorts and flame shirt, Ligaia’s shiny gear) give the promotion more texture and depth. The storylines feel more connected now than ever and it’s clear the talent are investing creatively as much as physically.

Puso Wrestling feels very inspired right now.
