Puso Wrestling Livestream VI – Show Report
Puso Wrestling returned with another breezy and enjoyable livestream, this time opening with Super P himself handling match announcements. She thanks everyone for their donations and reveals the lovely sponsor flag (yes we are on it!) before running down the card and offering one lucky live viewer a free ticket to Karera.
Match 1: Solomon Liwanag, Chelsea Marie & Romeo vs. Joey Rosas, “White Shirt” & Joya
The action kicked off with a trios bout featuring one of this year’s top rivalries. Chelsea Marie and Joya continued their back-and-forth, starting the match with a tense lock-up and exchanging holds. Joya hit a sharp dropkick followed by a sunset flip for a near fall, keeping momentum until Rosas tagged in and delivered a crisp flying forearm. Commentary dropped a fun reference to Pinoy wrestling icon Joe Pogi—small nods to history are always appreciated.
“White Shirt” followed with a scoop slam but missed an elbow, giving Marie the opening to land a leg drop and stay in control with some effective kicks. A sleeper hold wore her opponent down before Solomon tagged in and began a power-based exchange. Romeo brought intensity with heavy knees and a snapmare into a sliding lariat, but eventually, chaos broke out as all six wrestlers entered.
Solomon hit a big body slam on “White Shirt” for two, but out of nowhere, Joey Rosas returned to hit an uranage followed by an Anaconda Vice to force the submission from Solomon. A solid opener with fun character work, though it left me wanting more ring time for Chelsea and Joya—their chemistry deserves a bigger spotlight.
Match 2: The Super Friends (El Katipunero & Patricia Ligaya) & Elmo vs. Isaiah Valencia, Nigel San Jose & Gabriel Archangel
This six-person tag brought a mix of experience and fresh faces. Gabriel Archangel has shown promise since what was his debut a few weeks ago (I think), and Elmo—making what be his fappearance—fit right in with the Super Friends’ vibrant energy.
Ligaya started off against Archangel with some chain wrestling, including a headlock and quick tag to El Katipunero, who landed a light elbow. The match started slow and measured, with Gabriel eventually asserting dominance and hitting a big body slam on Katipunero. Despite some snap offense from the Super Friends, Gabriel’s strength kept tipping the scale until Elmo tagged in opposite Isaiah Valencia.
This section of the match was a highlight. Elmo—grinning even as he got beat down—was charismatic and cocky, delivering a body slam and suplex for a near fall. But Valencia reminded him who’s boss with a clothesline and a rough lesson in veteran toughness. Meanwhile, San Jose and Archangel got in on the action, and soon it turned into a Benny Hill-style chase scene with the Super Friends scrambling around the ring.
Once the chaos cleared, Elmo became the isolated target. He took a running splash from Archangel and endured a battering ram-style team attack from Valencia’s crew. Just when it looked grim, Elmo broke free for the hot tag to Ligaya, who exploded in like a pink firework. Katipunero followed for a double team, but the tides quickly turned again when Nigel leveled Ligaya with a nasty forearm.
In the closing sequence, Elmo recovered and hit double knees to secure the win.
A match that started slow ended up delivering some surprisingly strong storytelling. Elmo and Gabriel are still raw, but both have the makings of standout characters. Ligaya, especially, continues to impress, especially following her recent stint in Ice Ribbon and she’s blossoming into one of Southeast Asia’s top female workers.
Main Event: Robin Sane & Fabio Makisig vs. Otaku Alien (Hakai Mateo & Alien Friend)
The main event pitted two of the region’s top stars against the quirky yet capable Otaku Alien duo. Hakai Mateo and Alien Friend may play it light, but they’re deceptively strong in the ring—and this match gave both a chance to prove it.
Fabio started things off against Alien Friend, who has clearly been working on his conditioning. Fabio had the early edge, but Alien Friend’s agility helped him escape danger. Sane tagged in and dished out loud chops while Alien Friend was tied up in the ropes, then picked up the pace with a slick dropkick. But as he celebrated, Mateo blindsided him with heavy strikes and a big delay suplex that showcased his raw power.
Fabio re-entered to counter Mateo’s charge with a well-timed back stomp from the top, taking control again. Despite a hot tag bringing Alien Friend back in, Fabio maintained momentum with a massive chest kick. The pair traded chops and kicks, with Fabio even dragging Alien Friend to the camera to taunt him—a cool bit of character-driven flair.
Sane returned and took a UFO spin for his troubles, dizzy enough to mistakenly tag in Mateo before recovering. The veterans then strung together some tandem offense, including a suplex/kick combo. After a brief flurry by the Otaku Aliens, things broke down with all four wrestlers in the ring. Sane locked Mateo in an armbar for the submission win while Alien Friend was restrained.
A fun and well-paced main event. Mateo and Alien Friend were both allowed time to shine, which was great to see. They’ve been underutilized on recent cards, so this was a welcome return. Alien Friend continues to surprise with his technical work beneath the gimmick, while Mateo is an emerging powerhouse with excellent facials.
Post-Match & Final Thoughts
After the match, Sane and Makisig took time to promote Karera, before Main Max snuck in for some towel-whipping hijinks. Super P returned for a free ticket raffle and got the crowd hyped for upcoming events.
All in all, Puso Wrestling Livestream VI was another easy-to-watch and charming entry from the team. It perfectly captured the lighthearted, character-driven spirit that makes Pinoy wrestling so distinctive. With a mix of humor, heart, and developing talent, Puso continues to be one of the best ways to spend an hour if you’re curious about what Southeast Asian wrestling has to offer.
