PuSo Wrestling Livestream 3: Full Show Review

PuSo Wrestling returned with its third livestream event, once again delivering a night of action-packed matches. While there was no opening monologue this time—a feature I’ve come to enjoy even when I don’t fully understand it—the show still managed to engage from start to finish. Unfortunately, I couldn’t catch it live due to my son’s bedtime, but the replay was well worth the watch.

Hakai Mateo vs. Jake De Leon

The show wasted no time in bringing out the big names, with Jake De Leon (JDL) opening the night against Hakai Mateo. JDL kicked things off with some unexpected product placement, advertising a perfume, which didn’t sit well with the focused and determined Mateo. From the outset, Mateo’s sheer size and power were on display, making it difficult for JDL to get him down. Mateo, looking even bigger and stronger than in his last appearance, threw devastating suplexes, forcing JDL to fight desperately.

JDL found an opening after some well-placed strikes, taking off his shirt in dramatic fashion to power up. He attempted a big move but mistimed it, dropping Mateo onto himself. Quickly recovering, JDL landed a superkick and used his experience to secure the win. While JDL maintained his status as a main-event-caliber star, Mateo impressed with his resilience and growing presence—definitely one to watch in the coming years.

Winner: Jake De Leon.

This felt like an opening match in a 1993 Raw taping with the big star giving the up and comer enough to look strong but still taking the win. Lots of character development. Excellent.

Solomon Liwanag & Chelsea Marie vs. Isaiah Valencia & Nigel San Jose (Barangay Bagsakan)

Chelsea Marie set the tone early, taunting the fans and camera while accusing Barangay Bagsakan of wanting this match for “nefarious reasons.” The match featured more technical tie-ups than the opener, along with a bit of unexpected dancing in the double-team sequences.

Chelsea took a backseat for much of the bout, letting Solomon handle the heavy lifting before tagging in at key moments. Barangay Bagsakan controlled much of the match with confident teamwork. Solomon eventually fired up, aggressively preventing an attack on Chelsea. Once recovered, she hit Isaiah with her signature “boob splash,” followed by some signature taunting of the camera crew.

The tide turned when Isaiah landed a tornado DDT, allowing Nigel to tag in as the freshest competitor. Miscommunication between Chelsea and Solomon led to a double clothesline from Isaiah, setting up a decisive German suplex and a double running knee on Solomon for the three-count. Despite the loss, Chelsea Marie was undeniably the standout performer, blending cocky attitude with a hard-hitting, Attitude Era-esque offense that keeps her a must-watch competitor.

Winners: Barangay Bagsakan

Poor Chelsea, she can’t seem to get a really cohesive team together at the moment. It could be due to her attitude. I’m sure there’s someone out there who could be a number 2 or 3 for her dastardly deeds.

Ken Cifer vs. Patricia Ligaia

This match started with a display of sportsmanship before transitioning into a battle of strength versus strategy. Patricia Ligaia took the early advantage, using superior ring awareness rather than brute force. Midway through, she played mind games by feigning fear of strikes, momentarily confusing Ken Cifer before he responded with high-impact offense.

The match got progressively dirtier, featuring eye rakes and cheap shots as Ligaia struggled to maintain control. She mounted a strong comeback, landing a well-executed clothesline and calling for her finisher. However, her enthusiasm betrayed her, as her overly loud setup allowed Cifer to counter. He capitalized with a Fade to Black, securing the win in a match that highlighted Patricia’s cunning but ultimately proved Ken’s power was too much to overcome.

Winner: Ken Cifer

Another really captivating match here with Ligaia giving it her all to overcome the more powerful opponent. She shouldn’t feel any embarrassment in this loss at all.

Main Event: Fabio Makisig & Joya vs. The Super Friends

This match was an exciting test for Fabio Makisig in a longer format, and he delivered in a big way. Joya, looking incredibly jacked, and Super P, radiating enthusiasm, brought high energy from the start. Fabio and El Kapitan began with a pose-down before engaging in a technical exchange filled with impressive counters.

Super P tried to rally the crowd with a friendship chant but found herself trapped in a wrist hold. Joya and Fabio took turns isolating Super P, employing hair-pulling and heel tactics to keep her in check. She showed flashes of athletic brilliance, but every time she gained momentum, the heels cut her off.

In the closing moments, Joya and Kapitan hit a devastating double-team flying kick and German suplex combination for the win. After the match, Super P cut a heartfelt promo, declaring her and her partner the best tag team in Southeast Asia and beyond. She issued an open challenge for WrestleStorm, setting the stage for an exciting future showdown.

Winner: The Super Friends

Super P and El Kapitanero showed more aggression in the end here which was a surprise. They definitely showed the most dominance as a team to ensure they got the win after a loss this time.

Final Thoughts

PuSo Wrestling Livestream 3 delivered another night of memorable action. JDL and Mateo provided a fun, old-school Raw-style opener, Chelsea Marie proved to be a standout presence, Ken Cifer outmaneuvered Patricia Ligaia, and the main event showcased strong technical wrestling with a classic heel-face dynamic. With WrestleStorm on the horizon, the stakes are rising, and PuSo Wrestling continues to establish itself as a must-watch promotion in Southeast Asia.
