Puso Wrestling’s second livestream, broadcast on January 26, 2025, was another exciting showcase of talent and energy. Building on the momentum of their debut event, this livestream delivered compelling action, colorful characters, and a welcoming atmosphere that sets Puso apart. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the event’s highlights and my final thoughts.

Opening Monologue and Trainee Display

Following the introductory monologue, viewers were treated to a trainee showcase that set the tone for the evening. This segment was a delightful glimpse into the hard work and growth of Puso’s rising stars, embodying the promotion’s community spirit.

Match 1: Super P & El Kapitnero vs. Isaiah Valencia & Nigel San Jose

The night’s first match saw Super P and El Kapitnero, the high-energy "Super Friends," face off against Isaiah Valencia and Nigel San Jose of . The action began lightheartedly, with playful tie-ups and an amusing group hug after Valencia and San Jose attempted to mimic El Kapitnero’s flashy roll-ups.

As the match progressed, both teams showcased impressive teamwork. Super P brought fiery energy, landing a bulldog and quick tags with El Kapitnero. Highlights included El Kapitnero’s innovative elbow drop with his opponent on the second rope and Super P’s impactful shotgun dropkick. Despite the Super Friends’ dynamic offense, Valencia and San Jose turned the tide with suplexes, corner strikes, and a devastating Michinoku Driver.

The match concluded with a shocking upset as Valencia and San Jose secured the pinfall after a brutal slam on Super P. In a heartwarming display of sportsmanship, both teams celebrated together post-match, embodying Puso Wrestling’s camaraderie.

Winners: Isaiah Valencia & Nigel San Jose

Match 2: 8-Person Tag Team Match

This fast-paced eight-person tag match pitted Chelsea Marie, Alien Friend, Hakai Mateo, and Danny Zamora against Joya, Jake De Leon, Fabio Makisig, and Joey Rossas (I think). The production style for this match was particularly charming, with teams stepping forward toward the camera for introductions—almost like a quirky video game sequence.

Standout moments included Chelsea Marie’s stellar heel performance, complete with corner stomps and a picture-perfect dropkick. Her team’s antics, like teammates pleading for tags, added humor and personality to the match. Joya shone with fiery aggression and surprisingly strong suplexes for her size, though she was leveled by a powerful big boot from Chelsea late in the match.

The closing sequence descended into a thrilling chaos of cannonball dives and high-impact moves. Joey Rossas sealed the victory for his team with a Fameasser, concluding an action-packed and thoroughly entertaining bout.

Main Event: Main Maxx & Patricia Ligaia vs. Serafin Liwanag & Solomon Liwanag

The main event paired Main Maxx and Patricia Ligaia, two standouts from the first livestream, against the eerie Liwanag duo, Serafin and Solomon. Main Maxx proudly displayed the stunning Puso Championship belt before the action began, while Ligaia amusingly attempted to wield a flip-flop as a weapon.

The match featured a mix of technical grappling, power moves, and strategic teamwork. Ligaia’s grappling skills outmatched Serafin early on, but the Liwanag brothers’ size and strength posed a formidable challenge. Solomon’s crushing bodyslam on Ligaia and Serafin’s precise dropkick demonstrated their dominance. However, Ligaia and Main Maxx’s resilience shone through, with Ligaia delivering a discus lariat and Maxx executing a vicious roundhouse kick.

The climax saw Main Maxx use Ligaia as a human missile, creating an opening to hit Solomon with a brutal elbow to the back of the head and secure the pinfall victory. It was a thrilling conclusion to an engaging evening of wrestling.

Winners: Main Maxx and Patricia Ligaia

Final Thoughts

The lively audience added to the show’s atmosphere, though a larger crowd would amplify the energy even further. Production quality has noticeably improved, with enhanced sound and graphics that elevate the viewing experience.

All three matches delivered unique storytelling and showcased a mix of emerging and established talent. A singles match could provide additional variety in future events, but the tag matches effectively highlighted teamwork and character dynamics.

Puso Wrestling’s livestreams stand out for their informal yet captivating approach. These events feel less like polished TV productions and more like intimate showcases, where wrestlers can experiment, connect with fans, and let their personalities shine. It’s a refreshing format that allows Puso to carve out its own niche in the post-pandemic wrestling landscape.

Overall, Puso Wrestling Livestream 2 was another fantastic step forward. With its mix of humor, heart, and hard-hitting action, the promotion is building something special. I’m already looking forward to Livestream 3!
