Puso Wrestling Livestream X Results and Review – The Road to Bakunawa
Puso Wrestling marked a milestone with its 10th livestream, wrapping up August with one last stop before the much-anticipated Bakunawa on September 14.
Before diving into the action, just a note to keep an eye out for SEA Wrestling Magazine Issue 5, which will feature a full review of Karera and a write-up on the entire Livestream series.
Celebration Before the Action
The show opened with Super Friends El Katipunero and Patricia Ligaia celebrating ten successful livestreams with balloons and a shout-out to Super P. The festivities wrapped as they ran through the card and invited Isaiah Valencia out — who promptly popped one of the balloons.
Six-Man Showcase: Sane, Joya & Cifer vs. Arkangel, Liwanag & Mateo
The first match saw Robin Sane, Joya, and Ken Cifer take on Gabriel Arkangel, Solomon Liwanag, and Hakai Mateo. The bout started with crisp shoot-style exchanges between Cifer and Mateo, while Joya brought sharp offense to the ring.
Sane, returning from his recent injury, looked strong throughout. Each competitor had moments to shine, but the veteran trio worked as a well-oiled unit, finishing the match with all three opponents trapped in submissions. Liwanag tapped out to Joya’s Red Lightning.
Valencia Puts Elmo to the Test
Next was a rare singles match on Livestreams: Isaiah Valencia vs. Trainee Elmo. The newcomer offered a handshake to start, which Valencia refused, leading to a one-sided contest dominated by Valencia’s relentless offense.
Elmo showed determination, landing some strong clotheslines and an impressive vertical suplex, but it wasn’t enough. Valencia sealed the win with his new cradled-pedigree finisher and, post-match, directed sharp words at the roster — calling out Puso officials for not securing him an opponent.
Super Friends vs. Nigel San Jose & Hit
The Super Friends (El Katipunero & Patricia Ligaia) met Nigel San Jose and Hit next. Nigel entered with his Hotdog mascot in tow, while Hit, sporting new gear, started strong with clean grappling exchanges against Katipunero — a striking visual given their masks that I always enjoy.
The Super Friends’ experience initially gave them the advantage, but Barangay Baksakan pressed their edge in aggression, isolating Ligaia and delivering a harsh, calculated beatdown. After a much-needed tag, Katipunero ran through the opposition, only for quick tagging to bring Ligaia back in.
The finish came when tensions between Nigel and Hit boiled over. Nigel, frustrated, abandoned his partner, leaving Hit alone and vulnerable. Katipunero capitalized, locking in a submission to secure the win. After the match, both teams exchanged tense looks, hinting at deeper fractures forming.
Main Event: Zamora, Ravena & Chelsea Marie vs. Makisig, Main Maxx & Romeo
The main event featured unusual pairings as Danny Zamora, Ravena, and Chelsea Marie teamed up against Fabio Makisig, Main Maxx, and Romeo.
The match started lightheartedly, with a bit of dancing that quickly dissolved when Fabio snapped and forced the contest into a more serious tone. From there, it became a striking-heavy affair, with Ravena taking heavy punishment while Chelsea Marie drew a huge reaction from the crowd on her first tag, bringing her trademark flair and energy.
Romeo delivered a fiery “power tag” sequence, clearing the ring, but tension between Maxx and Makisig simmered. A heated exchange outside saw them brawling uncontrollably, a clear preview of their looming showdown at Bakunawa. Inside, Ravena capitalized, hitting the Godfall on Romeo to close the show with a win.
Closing Thoughts
Puso Wrestling Livestream X was another sharp, story-driven event, leaning into its signature TV-style presentation. The use of subtle storytelling — from strained partnerships to heated rivalries — gave every match a sense of purpose while building excitement for Bakunawa.
Highlights of the night included:
The cohesive teamwork in the six-man opener.
Valencia’s continued rise and new finishing move.
Ligaia’s convincing performance under pressure in the tag match.
The slow burn of Makisig vs. Maxx, now one of the most anticipated clashes heading into September 14.
With Bakunawa 2025 just around the corner, Puso Wrestling continues to prove why it’s a key player in Southeast Asian pro wrestling.
