PUSO Livestream 8 Results
A Quick Turnaround, Another Solid Outing
Just weeks after Livestream VII, PUSO Wrestling returned with its eighth online show. The episode kept things compact and story-driven, with three matches that pushed forward current angles and gave time to both rising names and established regulars.
---
Match 1: Barangay Baksakan (Nigel Sam Jose & Isaiah Valencia) def. Otaku Alien (Mateo & Alien Friend)
Before the match, Mateo cut a brief promo that referenced his ongoing missing "waifu" storyline. The match itself was fast-paced and competitive, with Otaku Alien getting in plenty of offense.
Despite landing a few double-team moves, a miscommunication late in the match opened the door for Barangay Baksakan to hit their double knees finisher and score the pin. After the match, Nigel Sam Jose and Isaiah Valencia issued a challenge to Ice Ribbon’s Bad Butts for the upcoming Bakunawa show.
---
Match 2: Solomon Liwanag & Aaron Liwanag def. Super Friends (El Katipunero & Patricia Ligaya)
This tag match was mostly one-sided, with the Liwanag brothers dominating for long stretches. El Katipunero showed resilience, and Patricia Ligaya used her speed and technique to create a few openings.
In the end, the size and power advantage of Solomon Liwanag and Aaron Liwanag was too much. The match ended with a chokeslam and a tag-team slam combination. Post-match, Serafin Liwanag returned and backed his team’s call-out of Bad Butts, adding another team to the list of challengers.
---
Main Event: HSSL (Fabio Makisig, Joya & Jomar Liwanag) def. Robin Sane, Gabriel Arkangel & Danny Zamora
The main event was a six-man tag that leaned into group dynamics and ongoing character tensions. Robin Sane and Jomar Liwanag opened with some back-and-forth chain wrestling. HSSL used quick tags and isolation tactics to wear down Gabriel Arkangel, who couldn’t get to his corner for most of the match.
Danny Zamora and Robin Sane had a few disagreements, hinting at internal issues. Once things broke down, HSSL took control and secured the win after isolating Gabriel Arkangel and hitting a series of team attacks.
After the bell, Fabio Makisig called out Main Maxx ahead of their September 14 match, referring to their shared history and a drinking contest from Dexcon.

Observations:
Three teams (Barangay Baksakan, the Liwanag trio, and possibly Ravena & Marie) are positioning themselves for a match with Bad Butts at Bakunawa.
Mateo’s “Missing Waifu” story continues to appear in promos and match setups.
Tension between Danny Zamora and Robin Sane may lead to bigger issues down the line.
---
Match of the Night:
Barangay Baksakan vs Otaku Alien
A well-structured tag match that blended character work and solid action.
---
Overall:
Livestream VIII maintained PUSO’s usual format—three matches, ongoing storylines, and character progression. A consistent show
with clear developments heading into the next big event.
