MYPW New Breed 4 Preview
It’s been a while since MYPW were last at the KuAsh Theatre, but the promotion finally makes its long-awaited return to the spiritual home of professional wrestling in Malaysia and one of the most prestigious venues in the region.
Despite this gap in main shows, New Breed 4 is far from a cold show. Thanks to MYPW’s show with TJPW in November, a showcase in December, and continuing close relationships with regional partners, there’s a lot happening and huge amounts to get excited for.
Let’s get into the matches.

Match 1: The Raya Rumble
Becoming an annual tradition is MYPW’s answer to the infamous Royal Rumble. The Raya Rumble will see MYPW’s stars, rising talent, and international guests battle it out for a future title shot.
Confirmed already for the match are Nik Adam, Orion Black, LOVE X FRDM, Blazing Raj, Thommy Ardhi, Cikgu Ken, and VPW’s Billy.
But then you never know who else might jump into the Raya Rumble—keep your eyes peeled.

Match 2: LOVExFRDM vs Cornelius LOW & ???
Malaysia’s rookies of the year, Fienic Rose and the Love Warrior Sywal, have turned heads for over a year now with their athletic performances and dazzling dances. Already becoming SETUP Tag Champions and beating top team The Juicy Boyz, the duo look to continue their rise to the top of the Southeast Asian tag team division.
However, this has clearly caught the ire of one Mr LOW, who has been on the lookout for a new partner and would like nothing more than to derail the momentum of LOVE X FRDM for his own gain.
The question is, who does Cornelius LOW have up his sleeve? Could it be a new recruit from the MYPW DC, Pink D, or even someone from overseas we’ve never seen in a MYPW ring before? Only time will tell.

Match 3: Jack Alexander vs Bobby Sinaga vs BGJ vs Kaizul
This match is about stepping up to the next level and dominating.
Kaizul was on a roll last year and is still due a title shot from his Journey to Gold win. However, unlike some other members of this match, he has been pushed to the side somewhat unfairly. This is his opportunity to remind Malaysia of his talents.
Bobby Sinaga, MYPW’s latest sensation—the young big man is taking every opportunity he can to show off his powerful moveset and aggression. Each time you see him in action, he has improved as if he’s had ten matches and not just one. Beating three others in one match could be his ticket to stardom.
Jack Alexander, The Shaman, is a man on the rise. Last year was his breakout year as he became a member of the SEA Circuit club in one calendar year, wrestling in all five active countries. He’s already warmed up with a recent visit to DEXCON and, of course, wants to earn another shot at the SEA or even the World Championship. This match could be his ticket.
BGJ, the veteran of this match. Unlike the others, BGJ is an established main event talent with an impressive track record. However, he loves multi-man matches and competing. What better way to do so than in a four-way match with some of Malaysia’s brightest talents?
Whoever comes out of this match will not just be a winner on the night but will certainly have turned regional heads to earn bigger opportunities.

Match 4: Wonderboy vs Emman Azman
Undoubtedly, this match has the most history of the night—a conflict that goes back to the early days of wrestling in Malaysia between two. For as long as the two have been intertwined as foundation members of MYPW, they have only had one 1-on-1 match.
Known then as JY Eagle and The Kidd, the duo battled all the way back in 2019, but then fate would see the two take separate paths until 2023. It would take another two years before they would meet again.
Tension has been boiling since The Juicy Boys tried to defend Azman prior to joining Real Global Threat last year. His sudden turn to join Shivam and The Statement only helped raise tensions further, and now Wonderboy feels Azman has become a different person—and now is the time to beat some sense into him.
However, for Azman, although similar in age, he is the clear veteran. It’s about respect and Wonderboy learning that RGT’s way is the future (according to them).
Now it’s time to find out who is the true future of Malaysia.

Match 5: Poppy Shay vs Marika Kobashi
Poppy Shay continues her monumental climb up the ranks of Southeast Asian women’s wrestling. She has seen off threats from near and far to lay claim to being the most dominant women’s wrestler in Malaysia. 2025–2026 has become a breakout season for Malaysia’s first female wrestler, with matches in Thailand, China, and Singapore, as well as wrestling for TJPW. Now, however, a new threat has landed in Malaysia that looks set to crown herself as the resident queen.
At only 24 years old, she is already a ten-year veteran who is known for doing things her way, and with stints in TJPW and Stardom under her belt, she may be the most experienced opponent Poppy has seen in some time.
Kobashi has already dabbled over the years in Southeast Asian wrestling, with recent matches in SETUP and Grapplemax among other promotions. She now looks to lay claim to her new home of Malaysia.

Match 6: MYPW Southeast Asian Championship – Shivam © vs Miles Karu
How times have changed since Lyrical Lightning last held this title. Once the belt for up-and-comers, the MYPW SEA Championship is now a symbol of Malaysian and Southeast Asian pride. Some claim this is the Intercontinental Championship of Southeast Asia, representing the best in-ring competition the region has to offer.
However, for too long now, the belt has been around the waist of Thailand’s Shivam. For 614 days, he has held the title hostage since beating Wonderboy while dominating the region and defending the title. While he may have gone about representing the championship in some controversial ways, he has elevated the belt to prestigious heights with defenses in Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines, while also proudly wearing it in Singapore and Japan.
However, his opponent has been waiting and training for a long time since winning this opportunity at Full Throttle. It’s been more than 800 days since Miles Karu vacated the belt he never lost—one that got an upgrade and facelift he never got to touch. Also a man who has toured the region, levelling up, he won’t be intimidated by Shivam’s aggression. Recent rumored alliances aside, for one night this is about the Southeast Asian Title through and through.

Main Event: MYPW World Championship – Carlo “Cash Money” Cannon © vs The Unstoppable Force Ares
Ares may well be the biggest threat to Carlo Cannon’s championship reign since it began over 1000 days ago. While others have come close, Cash Money has always had time to scout them out, learn, and of course use his impressive size advantage to defeat them.
But Ares is different. Ares, until now, has been training in Vietnam, working almost under lock and key as Southeast Asia’s best-kept secret. However, a year of defining wins against the likes of Jake De Leon, Da Butcherman, and The Statement have led to an outpouring of demand for him to face off against the other top dogs in Southeast Asia.
Ares wastes no time at all, of course, in taking on the biggest—the one that has so far got away—Carlo Cannon, with the goal in mind of becoming a double champion. Yet, he is up for the fight of his life.
Not only in Cannon, THE first graduate of Lance Storm’s Academy, he is a seasoned global veteran—a man that has strived to develop himself into a powerhouse, a man that The World’s Most Dangerous Man, Ken Shamrock, had as his trusted tag team partner not long ago. Cannon knows more than a fair few tricks, and this match is going to be far from just an exhibition. It’s got insanely personal.
Angry at how long it’s taken for his colleague—nay, his friend—Ares to get this shot, an angry, incensed Xavier Patricks laid claim that nobody has worked harder in Southeast Asia to get where they are than Ares. A victim of his background and passport, The Unstoppable Force has to work twice as hard to break the glass ceiling.
But these comments have incensed Carlo Cannon, and now Ares clashes with the Carlo Cannon who tears through his opponents—the man who destroyed half the Foo Chow building last year fighting Da Butcherman and also won TWO SEA Wrestling Match of the Year Awards.
Then we cannot forget that Shivam is waiting in the wings. Following a recent attack at VPW Spring Bash, the man is slotted to face Ares in the main event of SETUP Thailand’s Absolute Mayhem on May 2nd. Will Shivam interfere, though? We don’t think so. You see, Shivam has more to gain by leaving things to play out. Should he interfere and cost Ares the championship, he loses what could be a MYPW World Championship opportunity in Thailand. And if he does end the match early, Carlo Cannon won’t be doing his dirty work. Shivam can sit back and let a weakened Ares head into their collision next month.
This is a match of the year candidate. This is THE SEA Wrestling dream match. This truly is what the SEA Wrestling brand is all about.
So there you have it folks, catch MYPW New Breed 4 in Kuala Lumpur at the Ku Ash Theatre this Saturday.
