GrappleMax X MYPW - Causeway Jam 2025
Show rundown!
With four major wrestling events happening across Southeast Asia this weekend, Causeway Jam 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting. Hosted at 55 Ubi Ave 1 in Singapore, this high-stakes event will see GrappleMax and MYPW go head-to-head in five thrilling matchups to determine which promotion will claim the coveted Causeway Jam Cup!
Miles Karu vs. SPD
National pride is on the line, and tensions are bound to boil over. Once beloved in his home country, Miles Karu has become public enemy number one in Singapore, thanks to his and his Juicy Boyz partner’s refusal to return and defend their SPW Tag Team Championship. This betrayal has turned the Singaporean wrestling community against him, and stepping up to settle the score is SPD—a longtime fan favorite looking to reignite his momentum after a tough end to 2024.
But SPD has struggled in the past against rule-breakers, and with Karu’s devious nature (and Wonderboy possibly lurking nearby), will SPD be able to turn the tide, or will Karu’s underhanded tactics prevail?
Poppy vs. Divya
A must-see international clash is here! GrappleMax’s five-time CWE Divas Champion, Divya, takes on MYPW’s rising star, Poppy, in their first-ever singles match. The last time they shared a ring, Poppy secured a victory in a tag team bout, but this time, Divya is out for redemption.
Since Divya’s arrival in GrappleMax, this battle has felt inevitable. Now, it’s queen versus queen, country versus country. Who will reign supreme and bring the cup home?
Julian vs. Kelvin vs. Kaizul
Will this be a fair three-way contest, or will it turn into a two-on-one war against MYPW’s Kaizul?
Recently, Julian was caught on video confronting Kelvin, who made a shocking return last month at Amplify 6. Julian made it clear—Kelvin’s return from overseas doesn’t make him a big shot, and it’s time for them to get back on the same page.
Meanwhile, the unpredictable Kaizul from Malaysia Pro Wrestling is here with one goal: to defeat both of his Singaporean opponents and make his country proud. With pride and alliances hanging in the balance, this could be the most unpredictable match of the night.
Fienic Rose & Syawal vs. Larhvin & Simon Siah
In the build-up to this match, Syawal struggled to convince Fienic Rose to reform their tag team, Love and Freedom. But the lure of crossing the Causeway and representing their promotion proved too strong to resist.
Standing in their way are Larhvin and Simon Siah, a duo with a complex history—sometimes partners, sometimes bitter rivals. With one win apiece against each other, their partnership is on shaky ground. Simon’s simple advice to his teammate? “Don’t talk—just fight.”
Will unity or chaos determine the victors?
GrappleMax Openweight Championship - Wonderboy vs. Hotshot (c)
This is the showdown fans have been waiting for! Two elite competitors, each boasting over eight years of experience, finally collide for the prestigious GrappleMax Openweight Championship.
Wonderboy, representing MYPW, last challenged for this title in 2023 but fell short against the legendary Big Dave. Since then, he has captured two championship titles and now has his sights set on GrappleMax’s top prize.
Meanwhile, Hotshot has reigned as Openweight Champion for a record-breaking 450+ days and has remained undefeated in singles competition for over two years. His dominance is unquestioned, and he has no plans to relinquish his throne.
Adding to the drama, at their last encounter at Amplify, Wonderboy blindsided Hotshot with the championship belt before pinning him. Will he resort to similar tactics again, or will Hotshot finally get his revenge?
GrappleMax Tag Team Championship - Ships Ahoy vs. Aussie Aussie Aussie (c) [Non-Tournament]
Last month at Amplify, Sarah Coldheart secured a controversial victory over Shawn Phang with her devastating Harpoon Spear. However, the win was tainted by interference from her partner, Xtian, who distracted the referee at a crucial moment. Now, the daring duo of Ships Ahoy has earned a shot at the GrappleMax Tag Team Championship.
Their opponents, reigning champions Aussie Aussie Aussie, are defending their gold for the first time. Can Shawn Phang and YC maintain their grip on the titles, or will Ships Ahoy’s underhanded tactics lead them to championship glory?
A Night of Unforgettable Battles!
With pride, championships, and the Causeway Jam Cup on the line, every match promises high drama, intense action, and shocking moments. The stakes have never been higher, and neither GrappleMax nor MYPW will back down.
Who will emerge victorious, and who will be left in the dust? Don’t miss Causeway Jam 2025—it’s going to be a night to remember!
