Grapplemax Unity Preview
Unity – where it all comes together for Grapplemax and wrestling in Singapore. We are now entering the SEA Wrestling big show season with five promotions offering up their most important cards of the year in the next few weeks.
The first of these is Grapplemax Unity, which emanates from the fabled Foo Chow Building in Singapore. Known as the mecca of Singapore wrestling and one of the most famous venues in the entirety of Asia, there’s possibly no better venue in Singapore than this one for the promotion to cap off an absolutely outstanding year of wrestling.
Not only is this Grapplemax’s most important show ever, it’s also literally their biggest one with nine matches in total, including the pre-show matches. As Grapplemax hits the 9-year mark, the promotion’s biggest storylines bring the past, present, and future together in what is surely a turning point for the roster.

PRE-SHOW MATCH: Nish vs. Tydus
A rematch from Wrestle Pagar with everything to play for. Two school “chums” collide once more to start the night off. On one side you have Tydus, who beat Nish in their first encounter last month, while on the other side is Nish, who is 0-4 in his career already. Now they get to appear in a venue they have most certainly sat in before but only dreamed of competing in. Neither of these young men are going to want to back down from being a winner in the Foo Chow Building at Grapplemax’s biggest ever show. For the winner, this could propel them to new heights in 2026.

PRE-SHOW MATCH: Radiant Rui vs. Sarah Coldheart
2025 has been a great year for Radiant Rui. She’s evolved into her Radiant character and become a strong favourite to audiences all around Singapore with her cheery disposition, dazzling ring gear, and evolving flashy moves. She’s seen victories over veteran Crypto Bro LK, helping to raise her status in the promotion.
For her opponent, Sarah Coldheart, the latter half of this year has not been as successful. After failing to ensure Ships Ahoy partner Xtian won the Rising Championship at Pro Wrestling Festival, things seem to be less than ship shape. First, the losing tag match to Divya & Kelvin at Amplify 8 caused frustrations in partner Xtian.
Then there were the miscommunications at Wrestle Pagar, as well as some questionable stalking (for lack of a better word) in the last few weeks. Xtian feels that Sarah isn’t pulling her weight anymore in the team. However, a win here against Rui could help show him that Sarah can perform and there is perhaps still some wind in the Ships Ahoy sails. A win for both in separate matches could lead to another tag team title shot next year.

Big Dave & LFG vs. Endboss GREGORY, Xtian and Kelvin
Ah, the match that—following the end of Wrestle Pagar—saw D-GEN:Z take out Hotshot’s temporary partner Big Dave to assert their dominance. Since then, the arrogant veteran has refused to realign with former GST partner Endboss GREGORY after years of conflicts and feuds.
Instead, Grapplemax matchmakers have put together two teams that look to the past, the present, and the future of the company all in one go.
The veterans: Big Dave, the first Grapplemax Openweight Champion, and by his side one of the two founders of the company, Crypto Bro LK. On the other side of the ring is, of course, a man who knows both all too well (they’ve wrestled at least six times in the past). Strangely enough, LK and Greg haven’t wrestled each other in more than six years, so there’s no doubt all three will want to test the others’ abilities in this distant future.
The present of Grapplemax is represented by those who have been on the Singapore scene for a number of years: tough, respected, and well established in KAL and Xtian. Meanwhile, Kelvin represents the future. Young, ambitious, and with an insanely strong set of legs, the future is bright for this British-trained youngster.
One red flag does hang over Endboss’ team, and that is the fact that not long ago he beat one of his teammates in Kelvin Lang. Young, ambitious, and cocky, SEA Wrestling wonders if he can co-exist or if he will use Unity as a way to make a statement much the way two recent NWE graduates did.

Divya vs. Marika Kobashi
Kobashi might just be Divya’s biggest challenge yet. The ten-year veteran of Joshi wrestling and the Queen of GYAU is running through opponents on her current Asia tour. Her next stop brings her to Singapore to find out what all the noise is about one Divya.
Only debuting in Grapplemax last year, the Indian-born wrestler was a major player across India in CWE for more than six years, becoming the Divas Champion on four occasions.
Now two international veterans meet in a clash of Asian wrestling styles on the biggest stage in the Grapplemax calendar. After a stellar year, rising in popularity, a win here would springboard Divya to the next level of opportunity.

Thunderwear Match: Jinn Kai vs. D
For those new to Southeast Asian wrestling, “the D” might be a name that seems unfamiliar. He is someone who lays claim to being the first Malaysian wrestler, somewhat of a forgotten legend in the Southeast Asian region. He was part of many an early card. Now he’s forced back into the ring to face a man who has been juggling his blossoming modelling career with his wrestling one, Jinn Kai.
Since we last saw the youngster—previously named Jordan—he was focusing on his martial arts skills and becoming more deadly. Now it seems he has adjusted his focus to his looks and ego. Don’t underestimate Jinn Kai, however. His persona might be new, but he’s been fighting and winning all over Southeast Asia since 2019, including holding the WrestleSquare Cruiserweight Championship.
What are they fighting about? That’s easy: the chance to say they embody the Thunderwear brand by being the brightest, most beautiful wrestlers in all of Singapore. So what better way to ensure a fair fight than to have Luigi La Tona, founder of ThunderWear, as the special referee?
If anything is for sure, this match won’t be pants!

Grapplemax Rising Championship – Jullian Creed © vs. Scumdawg Sage Matthews vs. Ban Sachak
An international three-way for the most prestigious mid-card title in Southeast Asia is very likely to close the first half of the show.
Founded back at Pro Wrestling Festival 2, the title was won by Jullian in a fiercely competitive four-way. Since then, he has gone on to successfully defend the title against Devan, MYPW’s Tommy Ardhi, and Ban Sachak—though the last defence was not without controversy.
After earning the opportunity to face Creed, Ban faced the challenge of dealing with the Scumdawg, a despicable man travelling around the world, forcing his own dirty tactic-filled wrestling on growing communities founded on honour and respect. After corrupting young Tydus and cheating to win at NWE Showcase 3, Ban invited Matthews to return to the studio for Amplify 8, where the Cambodian-born grappler would overcome the Scumdawg.
However, during his reward—a Rising title opportunity—Matthews sent a video message that distracted Sachak and allowed Creed to retain.
It is questionable if Creed and Matthews were in cahoots; however, now they find themselves in the only way to settle things: a three-way match with the winner walking away as the Rising Champion.

ICW Tag Team Championship – Arcade Violence © vs. Heaven & Earth
Lahrvin DeShadow and Simon Siah have been one of the fastest-rising teams in the region this year, mixing DeShadow’s power with Siah’s high-flying abilities. Mix in a tenacious attitude and never-say-die spirit and you’ve got a recipe for fan support and success.
So successful, they’ve been handpicked by one of Scotland’s most notorious teams—the current ICW Tag Team Champions, Arcade Violence—to challenge for the tag team championship.
After decimating the British tag team division, the duo have decided to travel around the world looking for the best competition, and their next stop is Unity to go to war with Singapore’s hottest new duo.
If you’ve ever seen Heaven & Earth, you know a war is what we will get. From the moment they appear, you need to watch out for a flying Simon. There’s only one more thing to say: Don’t Talk, Just FIGHT!

Grapplemax Tag Team Championship – Aussie Aussie Aussie © vs. DEGEN:Z
Has any duo gone from being beloved to hated as quickly as DEGEN:Z in professional wrestling? Well, in wrestling probably yes, but that doesn’t make this duo’s actions any less disgusting.
Now known as Devan Zemir and Nathan X, this duo made a career-altering decision to align with another controversial figure in Grapplemax Openweight Champion Hotshot Wilson. But this alliance has clearly paid off, as they have now beaten two established teams at Wrestle Pagar and stamped their ticket to a tag title opportunity at Unity.
Standing across from them is Aussie Aussie Aussie, one of the most tenacious teams in Grapplemax history. With this title opportunity, DEGEN:Z may well have bitten off more than they can chew, as Shawn and YC know all too well how to deal with scheming and cheating tactics after their recent battles with Ships Ahoy.
However, if—and it’s a big if—the youngsters do dethrone them, it would be life-altering and Grapplemax-altering as this untested duo are propelled to the top of cards.

Grapplemax Openweight Championship – Hotshot vs. SPD
It might take a 6–10 page special in SEA Wrestling Magazine to outline how this all comes together. But in short, we have SPD, a man who has been around since the early days of the professional wrestling scene in Singapore.
For the past few years, this man has been all about doing things right, overcoming the odds, and giving hope to the entire Grapplemax community. It’s been eight years since his last singles championship win, and that might even seem like a false memory from a past life.
Now he has earned the ultimate opportunity to challenge for the Grapplemax Openweight Championship but also defend everything that Grapplemax stands for against a man who has turned his back on these principles in Hotshot Wilson—a man who believes he is better than the Grapplemax culture.
In their last encounter, SPD actually lost to Hotshot, but this time he is a man on a roll, a man who has been the cornerstone of the singles division this year in Grapplemax.
However, Hotshot will, of course, have his new DEGEN:Z lackeys nearby, but something tells us that SPD won’t be alone, and we may see a few familiar faces watching his back.
It’s the biggest match in Grapplemax history at the biggest show, and if the promotion wants to push back against the takeover of this new group, they will have to look to the name Unity.
Unity is shaping up to be the most important night in Grapplemax history, a true crossroads for the roster, the stories, and the identity of Singapore wrestling. With international talent flying in, championships on the line, and career-defining moments waiting to unfold, this is the show that sets the tone for 2026 and beyond.
Tickets are still available, but they’re moving quickly. If you want to witness this turning point for Grapplemax firsthand, now is the time. Be there at the Foo Chow Building for a once-in-a-generation night where everything comes together.
