Grapplemax Slam & Savour Preview
If one wrestling show isn’t enough to satisfy you this weekend in Singapore, don’t worry — Grapplemax has you covered. This Saturday, August 30, the home of Singapore pro wrestling is bringing fans a whole-day wrestling fiesta with Slam & Savour at Timbre+ One North. From 3 PM to 9 PM, expect a packed afternoon and evening of live matches, workshops, food, drinks, and of course professional wrestling.
Whether you’re there for the action, the atmosphere, or just to enjoy some great food while soaking in the chaos, Slam & Savour promises something for everyone.
More Than Just Matches
Before we dive into the matches, let’s talk about the extras — because Slam & Savour isn’t just a card of wrestling bouts. Throughout the day, fans can dive into interactive activities and demonstrations designed to bring you closer to the action:
Indian Club Workshops – Learn the basics of this traditional strength training tool.
Create Your Wrestling Persona – Ever wondered what your gimmick would be? Now’s your chance.
Thunderwear Clock Challenge – Expect some laughs and competitive chaos.
Learn to Chop & Counter a Wristlock – Pick up real techniques from the Grapplemax crew.
Wrestling Card Value Hunt – Test your collecting skills and maybe score a rare pull.
And before the first bell rings, fans will be treated to a live pre-show segment from Kick to the Gut Podcast hosts FRGN and Mister Young, setting the tone for a day that blends wrestling and fan interaction perfectly.
The Matches
With a stacked lineup featuring nearly the entire Grapplemax roster, special guests from the Philippines’ FPW (Filipino Pro Wrestling), and the return of Japanese legend Dick Togo, Slam & Savour promises to deliver from start to finish. Here’s the full breakdown:

NWE Showcase
The event kicks off with the NWE brand — the Grapplemax training school’s platform for young talent and their mentors — giving the next generation a chance to shine.
Nathaniel vs. Tydus
The opening bout is one to watch. Nathaniel, a powerhouse who made his presence known during the Rising Championship qualifiers at Showcase 3, is quickly establishing himself as a future mainstay. Across the mat is Tydus, a young cruiserweight returning to the spotlight. Tydus has shown flashes of brilliance before, but this match will be his chance to reintroduce himself and make a strong statement. Expect a fast-paced, high-energy start to the day.
Alani vs. Radiant Rui
This one’s personal — a mentor vs. mentee showdown. Alani, sidelined from the last big show due to a minor medical issue, finally gets her chance to step into the ring and prove herself. Across from her is Radiant Rui, who impressed fans at the previous event with her agility and relentless aggression. Alani will need every ounce of focus to match Rui’s pace, but if she can pull it off, this could be her breakout moment.
Justin vs. Nish
Call this the “show-stealer” candidate of the NWE showcase. Both Justin and Nish have been steadily impressing in recent outings, but this match is where they’ll need to step up and prove they belong on every card moving forward. Expect technical exchanges, big moments, and two hungry wrestlers leaving it all on the mat.

Main Card
With the showcase wrapped up, the main card raises the stakes with some of the most exciting matchups we’ve seen from Grapplemax in 2025.
Divya vs. Radiant Rui
It’s a double-duty night for Radiant Rui, who steps back into the ring for a singles match against the always-popular Divya. Rui will have the advantage of being warmed up from her earlier bout, but fatigue could play a role. Divya, back in action and looking to re-establish herself as a top performer in Grapplemax, will be coming in fresh. The clash of styles here — Rui’s sharp, aggressive offense versus Divya’s smooth, fan-favorite charisma — makes this one a sleeper hit.

Grapplemax Rising Championship Match
“The Hitman” Jullian Creed (c) vs. Devan
All eyes will be on this match as Jullian Creed, the first and longest-reigning Rising Champion, defends against young upstart Devan. Creed has made no secret of his disdain for this challenge, brushing off Devan as unworthy of the belt. But underestimating Devan has been a mistake for others before. Creed’s experience and precision make him dangerous, but if Devan can channel his underdog energy and catch “The Hitman” slipping, we could be looking at a major upset.

#1 Contender’s Match for the Grapplemax Openweight Championship
SPD vs. BIG DAVE
This one’s going to be personal. At Pro Wrestling Festival 2, a heated triple threat match with Saka left both SPD and BIG DAVE with unfinished business. Now, they meet one-on-one with a shot at Hotshot’s Openweight Championship on the line.
SPD comes in with serious momentum, riding a hot streak of big wins. On the other hand, BIG DAVE, a former Openweight Champion himself, believes he’s still owed a rematch and will stop at nothing to reclaim his spot at the top. Expect a hard-hitting battle between two wrestlers who know each other all too well.

International 6-Man Tag Team Match
Heaven & Earth (Larhvin Deshadow & Simon Siah) & Kelvin Lang vs. The YOLO Twins (Yohann & Logan Ollores) & Cali Nueva
Few matches promise as much chaos and entertainment as this six-man tag. The YOLO Twins, Southeast Asia’s most obnoxious duo, return to Singapore alongside their FPW ally Cali Nueva. Together, they’ll bring their signature mix of flash and attitude to the Grapplemax mats.
Standing across from them are Heaven & Earth and Kelvin Lang — three competitors with something to prove after recent tough losses. The chemistry between Larhvin and Simon is undeniable, and with Lang rounding out the trio, this has all the makings of a crowd-pleasing showdown.

International Singles Match Ban Sachak vs. Dick Togo
This is the big one for Ban Sachak. The Cambodian Kouprey, fresh off an impressive but ultimately unsuccessful challenge for the Grapplemax Openweight Championship, steps up for the biggest test of his career — a singles match against Japanese legend Dick Togo.
Togo’s influence on Grapplemax is deep; he helped shape parts of the training curriculum and has faced countless rising stars around the world, testing and breaking them in equal measure. Fresh off a high-profile run in New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 Climax supporting EVIL, “The Spoiler” isn’t here for nostalgia — he’s here to test Sachak’s mettle.
For Sachak, this match isn’t just about proving himself to the fans — it’s about showing he belongs in the conversation as one of Southeast Asia’s top talents. Expect a brutal, methodical contest that will have the entire venue on its feet.

Main Event: Grapplemax Tag Team Championship Match Aussie Aussie Aussie (c) vs. LFG
Every title defense seems to come with a little controversy for Aussie Aussie Aussie, and this one is no different. The reigning champions — Shawn “The Pillar” Phang and “Pinball” YC — are out to prove that their upbeat, positive energy isn’t a weakness, even after a brutal surprise attack from their challengers just days ago.
Their opponents, LFG — the veteran pairing of Crypto Bro LK and KAL — are Grapplemax pillars in their own right, the foundation upon which much of the roster has been built. This is a classic case of youth and energy versus experience and cunning, with the Tag Team Titles hanging in the balance.
The champs are determined to hold the belts longer in their second reign after a 98-day first run. But with LFG’s veteran instincts and newfound ruthlessness, this could be the toughest defense of their careers.
