Grapplemax Celebrates Ten Years Announces next six shows.

Grapplemax has announced six events to close out its tenth anniversary season in Singapore.

The run begins on 29 August with the TEDx Open House at the Beyond X Building, described by the promotion as Singapore's only interactive, video game-inspired wrestling show. This looks like the most unusual concept on the list. Grapplemax appears to have spent weeks building something specific for this event rather than adapting an existing show, and the interactive element is not something we have seen tried in the region before. On 12 September, NWE Showcase will be the first taping at the promotion's new home at Grapplemax Studio. The card is built around newer talent from the academy. We are looking forward to seeing how the new studio works as a venue.

Super Tattoo Fun Times returns for a third year on 26 September at *SCAPE Ground Theatre, with 20 tattoo artists, six local bands and a full wrestling ring at the event for the first time. Tickets start at $38.

The tenth anniversary show takes place on 10 October, which is earlier in the year than the promotion has run this show before. No venue has been announced and we will not guess at one. Grapplemax has a habit of surprising us with where they run.

Fight Club 6 follows on 7 November at Chimichanga VivoCity. Grapplemax bills this year's edition of its annual mat wrestling event as a Día de los Muertos celebration of Mexican culture. We will admit we had not kept up with Chimichanga, and the food looks very good. The setting should suit a lucha-themed show, and the format is not far from what PSE run regularly in Bangkok. That is a good thing for Singapore fans, who have not had much access to this style of event.

A sixth event on 22 November has not yet been named.
