Fugo Fugo Yumeji returns to Vietnam and visits VPW Academy for the first time

This past week saw Master Fugo Fugo Yumeji return to Vietnam. During this visit, his time was focused primarily on visiting friends and on his work as a master of Vovinam, Vietnam's national martial art.

Yumeji posted photos of himself providing training and inspirational advice to young Vietnamese people. However, he was also able to find time to join Rocky Huynh, Sid Nguyen and other VPW roster members for a small celebration in his honor and a look at the VPW Academy.

For anyone unaware, Fugo provided training to the early VPW recruits in parks and martial arts dojos. He was also instrumental in helping Rocky and Sid take their first steps into a wrestling ring in Da Nang back in 2016.

Fugo Fugo Yumeji was the first inductee into the VPW Hall of Fame and was also featured in the Chris Jericho produced documentary Vietslam.

However, it has been confirmed that he has already left Vietnam and will not be appearing at this weekend's The Rumble event.
