Dexcon - Wrestlestorm 2 Preview and Predictions

With a lot of media already covering Dexcon’s next show we feel a little behind the times but with a show as momentous as the first major Pinoy Wrestling show of 2025 it’s an absolute must that we cover before and after the show.

Coming fresh off of the huge news that Dexcon events are available on Triller TV, this show is likely to be an all out showstopper highlighting the colorful and hardworking stars of Dexcon Wrestling.

As well as predicting match results, we’re also predicting the running order here.

Joya Vs Patricia Ligaia

We didn't forget you two like some reporters! Two of the brightest stars on Puso’s livestream series have been the Pinoy Sweetheart Patricia Ligaia and Joya will tie up in this hotly anticipated women’s contest. Looking to continue her momentum following the Pwersang Pinay Gauntlet, it is likely that Joya wont be holding back against her training partner and opponent. On the other side of the ring Ligaia is someone still trying to prove she belongs in the ring and not holding the mic. While she won the Jun Capilos Jr. Battle Royal in August last year and scored a victory teaming with Monomoth in October, She’s now looking for a more solid series of wins to establish herself as a credible threat in the ring.

Although Ligaia has the heart and passion, we think the power and strength of Joya will be too much to overcome.

Puso Pinoy Championship Main Maxx © Vs Dr Gore

Another hotly anticipated international contest sees Dr Gore return to the Brawlpit to challenge Main Maxx for his prized possession, the Puso Championship. Approved by Puso commissioner Sonny Go, this match brings the good doctor back to reign more carnage on The Philippines.

From his previous visit, we know he isn’t afraid of using some dirty tactics to score the win. Coming off a loss to CK Vin he’s certainly going to be looking to take back some gold to Singapore.

In our opinion, this could be a close one and at the time our prediction is that neither man will yield and we’ll see some form of draw.

WUW Underground Championship: TZK Vs Dabid Ravena & Aaron Liwanag

In a shocking revelations Liunus Santos (Match Maker) scored a huge deal between MSG and Baha ng Liwanag to see Aaron Liwanag team up with Dabid Ravena for the first time ever to take on Turn Zero Kill (Ken Cifer & Saint John Martin) for the prestigious WUW World Tag Team Championship.

TZK have so far been unbeatable as the tag team champions for a long time. Can a brand new team tear away the tag team championships from the dominant champions right before they get to defend them on a WUW show? Adding to the stakes is the fact the losing team can never challenge for them again. It's all or nothing.

In our opinion no, although this one will be close. It will once again be a win for TZK

Our Prediction - TZK Retain

Jake De Leon & Yoshi Ttatsu Vs Fabio Makisig & Jomar

In one of the top matches on the show, Japanese legend and former Wrestlemania battle royal winner Yoshi Tatsu will form a tag team for the night with a man that has impressed him for many years in Jake De Leon. Watching from afar, Tatsu noticed the rooster’s prowess for many years and insisted he be the Japanese star’s partner for the evening.

On the other side of the ring are two men with years of Pinoy wrestling experience looking to both apply more punishment to a Japanese star and avenge their humiliations from when they each faced Tajiri. Both Fabio Makisig and Jomar are seasoned pros who combined have a significant size advantage against their opponents.

However, sizing it all up with Wrestlestorm 2 being such a momentous night and Jake De Leon being on the losing end of last years main event. I can’t bet against the Senyorito's team coming away with the victory here.

Main Event: Super Friends Vs Best Bros

It’s friendship vs friendship in the main event when massively popular group The Super Friends face off against Best Bros.

The last few months have been a busy few for The Super Friends with media coverage in magazines and on TV, the release of new merchandise and their new custom theme song. It’s questionable if the bubbly trio have enough friendship power left in them to stand up for Planet Asia against the more experienced tag team.

While it’s true they’ve been training hard, including Super P and El Kapitanero tagging against Patricia Ligaia (teaming with JDL). The best bros consisting of Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki have over a decade of experience fighting together and in singles action in Japan.

Even as their popularity and experience grows, this is one bout we do not think The Super Friends will be able to come out on top but pray we a wrong.

Besides those exciting matches that have been announced, we may see other bouts put together on the night. Popular wrestlers such as Chelsea Marie, Nigel San Jose, Isaiah Valencia and Hakai Mateo have yet to score a position on the card. What could be in store for them?
