DEXCON Sari Sari Slam – Show Preview

Fans didn’t have to wait long for the follow-up to August’s Peks Man. Just days later, the Filipino super-show brand announced its next event — and it’s finally here this weekend.

This show’s theme stands out from the usual approach. Rather than focusing solely on bringing in the biggest names from around the region and beyond, Sari Sari Slam features a series of high-profile matches spotlighting Filipino-born and Filipino-descended wrestlers returning home to face the country’s best.

Aaron Liwanag vs. Jomar vs. Ken Cifer vs. Ravena

A four-way match packed with history and bad blood. These four men have crossed paths countless times — as both allies and enemies. Each carries scars from the past, and now they’ll settle it once and for all in a chaotic showdown where absolutely anything can happen.

Brutal. Unforgiving. Destructive. Those words only begin to describe this quartet. Expect carnage when the bell rings — it’s all to play for this Saturday.

Hotdog De San Jose vs. Cheeseburger Kid

The first of our Pinoy diaspora competing at Sari Sari Slam is Singapore’s Cheeseburger Kid. Still early in his career, this dynamic performer constantly energizes fans — whether as one half of the SPW Tag Team Champions or as a rising singles star. But this time, after a heated falling out with Nigel San Jose, he must face his biggest rival yet: The Hotdog.

Little is known about Hotdog De San Jose, except that he has an unrelenting hatred for his meaty, breaded rival. This is the definition of meat slapping meat — and neither man will want to see his buns hitting the canvas. The rivalry is fiery enough to leave condiments flying, and for the skeptics out there — yes, that red liquid really did come from a ketchup bottle.

Fabio Makisig vs. Emman

Debuting three years ago, Singapore’s Emman has steadily worked to make an impression on Southeast Asian audiences. Fresh off a highly praised triple threat with Wonderboy and Aiden Rex, he now makes his DEXCON debut on one of his first excursions — ready to prove he’s more than a young lion from SPW’s midcard.

But he may have bitten off more than he can chew. Standing across the ring is Fabio Makisig, the undisputed ace of Pinoy Wrestling. After defeating JDL and Zack Sabre Jr. at Dakila, Makisig has been in peak form — aggressive, confident, and dominant. However, a recent loss to Main Maxx might have shaken that momentum.

Could Emman seize this moment for a career-defining victory? Or will Makisig turn the rookie into a punching bag to remind everyone he’s still at the top of the food chain?

Jack Alexander vs. Isaiah Valencia

Two rising stars collide in this international contest. Jack Alexander has quickly established himself as a legitimate SEA Wrestling contender — holding his own with the best in the region — and now makes his long-awaited Philippines debut against Isaiah Valencia.

The Pinoy Supernova has shown a far more vicious edge over the past ten months. Alongside Barangay Baksakan, Valencia unleashed a brutal assault on Joey Rossas and Crystal at Bakunawa, reminding fans of his dangerous side. Ever since his match with Jake De Leon, Valencia’s growing chip on his shoulder has led to victim after victim.

Will The Shaman be next?

JDL vs. Kidd Bandit

Welcome home… or not so welcome? Kidd Bandit returns to her home turf to live out a lifelong dream — and she couldn’t ask for a tougher opponent than Mr. Philippine Wrestling himself, Jake De Leon.

Nobody has represented Filipino wrestling more proudly this year than JDL. Touring across the region as part of The Real Global Threat and reigning as SETUP Thailand 24/7 Champion, his name alone turns heads and sells tickets. In the ring, he blends brawling, technical mastery, strong style, and pure showmanship like no other.

For those unfamiliar with Bandit — she’s aggressive and unrelenting, mixing high-impact strikes, ruthless kicks, and fearless aerial assaults that leave opponents gasping. Having battled through GCW, AEW Dark, and DPW, including brutal matches against Zack Sabre Jr. and Effy, she brings a merciless edge powered by raw emotion and cunning.

This one sells itself. No hype needed.

Robin Sane vs. Carlo Cannon

Few wrestlers have put their bodies on the line more than Robin Sane this year. From high-speed Moon Eater bouts to underground technical clashes with St. John Martin, near-victories over Main Maxx, and a body-breaking war with Chris Brookes — Sane has endured it all. Just when he thought his toughest tests were over, Carlo Cannon came knocking.

Of Filipino descent, this marks Cannon’s long-awaited homecoming — and his DEXCON debut. A protégé of Lance Storm and one of Southeast Asia’s most respected trainers, “Cash Money” Cannon has helped shape countless wrestlers across the region, even spending time at the Brawlpit to work hands-on with local talent. But make no mistake — once the bell rings, he’s one of the most dangerous men alive.

After two fierce championship clashes with Da Butcherman this year, Cannon’s heavy-hitting style poses a massive threat to anyone — including Sane. The speedster will need to be at his sharpest to avoid being crushed by this powerhouse. This could be one of Southeast Asia’s most compelling style clashes of 2025.

Chelsea Marie vs. Lacey Lane

In the main event, two premier Filipino athletes face off for the first time ever. Chelsea Marie, one of the most established Pinay wrestlers today, meets her toughest challenge yet in Lacey Lane. A former WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion and recent challenger to global superstar Mercedes Moné on AEW Dynamite, Lane isn’t coming to the Brawlpit to lose.

But neither is Chelsea. Having gone toe-to-toe with some of the region’s best, she’s ready to prove she belongs at the absolute top. Defeating Lane would mean more than personal glory — it would open a new chapter for herself and for the future of Pinay wrestling.

Sari Sari Slam isn’t just another stop on the DEXCON calendar — it’s a statement. A celebration of Filipino pride, passion, and pain told through the language of professional wrestling. From homegrown heroes to returning icons, every match carries weight, every name has meaning, and every moment promises to leave a mark.

This weekend, history isn’t just being made — it’s being reclaimed.
