DEXCON Meet & Greet: Wrestling Meets Madness at Attack Arena
The DEXCON crew don’t believe in taking things slow. After Friday’s Baka Gaijin showcase at Social House, the team packs up and heads straight to Attack Arena Shaw for an all-day mix of matches, competitions, and the kind of left-field ideas only Matchmaker Miguel could dream up. On Saturday, 23rd August, fans get a special Meet & Greet edition of DEXCON that’s part wrestling card, part carnival, and all action.
This isn’t just about signing sessions and photo ops. The Meet & Greet is loaded with matches. From international dream bouts to comedy spectacles, Attack Arena is bracing itself for a full day of wrestling mayhem.
JDL vs. Invisible “John Cena”
Somehow, this is real (well maybe in Miguel’s mind). Matchmaker Miguel has officially booked Jake De Leon, the Filipino Fighting Rooster, against none other than the Invisible “John Cena.” According to Miguel, this is part of Cena’s farewell tour—but to avoid overbooking, the 16-time champion will be… invisible. Entrance music, imaginary five moves of doom, the whole deal.
JDL, the current SETUP 24/7 Champion, seems less than happy with the pairing. It’s absurd, it’s Miguel logic, and it might be the most talked-about spectacle of the weekend.
Fabio Makisig vs. Dr. Gore – International Dream Match
From comedy to pure wrestling prestige, the Meet & Greet delivers a legitimate SEA Wrestling dream match. Fabio Makisig, the Ace of Philippine Wrestling, takes on Singapore’s masked surgeon of violence, Dr. Gore.
Makisig comes in hot from outstanding matches at Dakila and Karera, where he stood toe-to-toe with IWGP Champion Zack Sabre Jr in May and then ran through the best in Pinoy Wrestling in July. These were performances that reminded fans why he’s seen as one of the region’s very best. Dr. Gore brings his sharp technique and unorthodox style, giving us a clash that blends pride, skill, and regional bragging rights.
Miles Karu vs. Saint John Martin vs. Aaron Liwanag
The Meet & Greet ring will also welcome back Miles Karu, returning to DEXCON and apparently armed with his own entrance theme written for the occasion. He steps into a triple threat against Saint John Martin and Aaron Liwanag, two familiar faces in the Philippine scene.
Expect chaos, heavy strikes, and maybe an impromptu live performance from Miles that goes over better with him than with the crowd.
Shivam vs. El Katipunero (w/ Super P)
Can the power of friendship survive a global threat? El Katipunero, backed up by fan favorite Super P, takes on Malaysia’s favorite son, Shivam. The matchup pits raw fire against technical prowess, with Super P on hand to neutralize any outside interference.
But Shivam doesn’t need much backup—he’s a proven star across Southeast Asia, and this one might test El Katipunero more than any battle yet.
Gabriel Arkanghel & Solomon Liwanag vs. Romeo & Crystal
The tag scene gets a shakeup when the Pusoverse’s Gabriel Arkanghel and Solomon Liwanag collide with two icons of Pinoy wrestling: Romeo and Crystal.
Crystal, the Queen of Philippine Wrestling, needs no introduction. Romeo, equally adored, has been part of the country’s biggest moments. Across the ring, Arkanghel and Solomon bring fresh energy and a touch of menace. It’s a generational clash that will have fans picking sides fast.
Main Maxx vs. John Day
Before Main Maxx pours his celebratory shots and John Day proves he’s “MIGnificent,” the two collide in a straight one-on-one showdown. Both are have plenty to prove, and it’s a match that promises grit, power, and some very sore bodies by the end.
Patricia Ligaia & Joya vs. Otaku Alien (Hakai Mateo & Alien Friend)
The Meet & Greet’s wildest tag match sees Patricia Ligaia and Joya—once rivals, now “certified beshies”—team up against the eccentric duo of Hakai Mateo and Alien Friend.
Both sides come in with baggage, both are unstable, and both will likely spend half the match arguing with themselves as much as with each other. The question is less “who wins?” and more “will the ring survive?”
International Six-Man Showcase
Capping off the wrestling portion of the Meet & Greet is a six-man tag sprint. Jonathan Johnson joins forces with the high-flying Robin Sane against the team of Nigel San Jose and Isaiah Valencia. Speed meets speed in a bout that could be over before you blink.Johnson certainly hasn’t come back to The Philippines to play games. No he’s come to defend his title, make a statement and keep an eye on the Real Global Threat.
Beyond the Matches
The Meet & Greet is more than just wrestling. Fans can join signing sessions, meet their favorite wrestlers face-to-face, and even play alongside them.
The ongoing saga of “The Final Game” between Jake De Leon and Joey Rosas also comes to a head. After battles in basketball and chess, the deciding game takes place live at Attack Arena. If Joey wins, he earns a shot at JDL’s SETUP 24/7 title.
And for the fans themselves—there’s Archery Attack. A 30-minute game where 20 lucky ticket holders will be drafted onto wrestler-led teams. It’s not every day you get to dodge foam arrows alongside your favorite stars.
The DEXCON Meet & Greet isn’t filler between marquee shows. It’s a showcase of how far Southeast Asian wrestling has come—unpredictable, experimental, and unafraid to mix the ridiculous with the world-class.
From Invisible Cena to dream matches like Makisig vs. Dr. Gore, this event captures the heart of the regional scene: equal parts fun and fire. Whether you’re there for the signings, the chaos, or the in-ring action, Attack Arena Shaw on 23rd August is the place to be.
