Chino Guinto Reinstated, FPW Championship Match Set for Unfinished Business

In a major reversal, Filipino Pro Wrestling has officially reinstated Chino Guinto following his controversial forced retirement earlier this year. The decision came from Applause Entertainment, FPW’s parent company, who overruled FPW President Red Ollero’s original decision to remove Guinto from active competition.

More significantly, Guinto has now been confirmed as the challenger to Quatro for the FPW Championship at Unfinished Business, scheduled for September 14 — the company’s biggest show to date. Tickets are currently on sale.

The announcement came after recent controversy at FPW Astig, where the vacant title was awarded to Quatro in a mid-show declaration by President Ollero. Former champion Mike Madrigal interrupted the proceedings, demanding a title match and even putting his career on the line. That match ended in chaos after interference from the YOLO Twins. The brawl escalated until a hooded figure entered the ring and cleared house — revealed to be none other than the supposedly retired Guinto.

Although the match ended in disqualification, with Quatro retaining the title, Guinto’s involvement reignited his standing with the FPW fanbase and seemingly forced the hand of upper management. With the reinstatement now official, FPW fans will get a long-anticipated showdown between Guinto and Quatro at Unfinished Business.

Secret Show 4 Set for August 10

Before the big showdown, FPW returns to its intimate venue at 2F Kowloon House, Quezon City, for Secret Show 4 on Sunday, August 10 at 2 PM. Entry is on a Pay What You Can basis, and fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure their spot.

The card promises exciting developments:

Roxy Reeves returns to FPW, promising to make a bigger impact than ever before.

Jan Evander, known as The Mad Doctor, also returns after a short hiatus, ready to “dismantle” his next opponent.

Rising star Mharckie, dubbed The Kakaibro, continues his momentum. His opponent for the event has not yet been announced.

Logan Ollores, one-half of the YOLO Twins, is also scheduled to compete, with match details still under wraps.

With tensions still simmering from past events and new storylines unfolding, Secret Show 4 is shaping up to be a key chapter on the road to Unfinished Business.
